Last month, the Vatican said humanity had been defeated. This month, they say the whole planet is ruined. I wonder if the "celibate" clergy are simply feeling depressed, now that they can't get away with molesting children anymore.
They have each other.

If that's the case, who's going to teach Marcus' math classes?
He doesn't need math. He needs common sense.

Well, nobody was teaching them before, so at least now they won't get exposed to H1N1.

There are always goats, sheep, cows, and horses.
This month, they say the whole planet is ruined.
The trashing of the planet Earth is one of the biggest moral problems in the world today. The pope's mild acknowledgement of that is too little, too late. Vatican City should have been condemning the greed-motivated polluting and mass extinction of wildlife for decades. Half of all wildlife has been eradicated over the past 40 years. If that's not a moral travesty, leaving a much poorer Earth for future generations, then what is?
The prior popes have also been silent on the immorality of
- Bush's wars
- Torture
- the militarization of police forces
- unrestrained greed in economic policies
- the opposition to socialized medicine
So how exactly are the Christian clergy moral leaders?
Maybe they should set up a crisis line for depressed clergy to reassure them that they will be able to molest children in heaven.
