Apostasy (ارتداد, irtidād and ridda) i.e. the rejection of faith, is a serious offense in Islam. The punishment for apostasy as prescribed by Prophet Muhammad is death.

So the minimum requirement for any Muslim refugee should be a public and signed declaration that anyone may leave Islam at any time without fear of violent retribution, and that western law takes precedence over Islamic law.

If they won't agree to that, they do not belong in the west and should not be allowed in under any circumstances at all, no matter how dire. Sure, they'll probably just lie to get into Germany, but it's critically important to point out to everyone over and over that Islam is the absolute opposite of religious freedom, a basic value of the west.

Don't even get me started on freedom of expression and how Islam is also violently opposed to that. First things first: if you can't leave a religion without fear of death, you have no rights to begin with.

Not surprising at all. A significant percentage of the West's population has despised western culture for 50 years and done everything in its power to undermine its principles, specifically by abandoning Judeo-Christianity for Mak-Ur-Own with the state as its god. Islam is more than willing to fill the vacuum--Muslims never have the kind of second thoughts or indulge in the kind of self-criticism and self-hatred the west exhibits. Our president has been an exemplar of that mindset.

so it really is analogous to letting in thousands of people who have a contagious disease, mostly latent, but still serious. that's the dilemma. countries in europe have a human obligation to help fellow human beings, but also an obligation to their own citizens not to expose them to danger.
