Or perhaps this attitude could be a reaction to MSM, where all ills of the world are caused by Fucking White Males, while everyone else is a saint and can not be criticized. I do find some of the jokes here to be crude and crossing the line of acceptable, but I personally think that MSM attitude is much worse, as they control minds and policies of many more people.

That is not necessarily inconsistent with what I said. There is no independent media, it is controlled by a few corporations, which dictate what is said, subject to their economic interests. There are two faces of this conglomerate - one would be FOX (R), other MSNBC (D), but they both are the same in principle. "Consumers" or "voters" are brainwashed to think that there is an actual difference between R and D, while in reality they are the same with small variations in detail. The ultra-rich benefit in any case, everyone else gets screwed. No logical discourse is possible, because you are either "racist, homophobe, redneck, fucking white male" or "you hate America and are unpatriotic". Occasionally, I have been both of those at the same time. Discussion is based on feelings, not logic; it is not "what we want and how do we get there" but "please, don't hurt my feelings".

With respect to climate change - MSNBC does not censor it, and I would guess that most TV stations talk about climate change a lot, while no stations (or very few) honestly talk about racial/gender preferences for hiring/school admissions/ race statistics for violent crime etc. However, people who advocate action to mitigate climate change are as stupid as ones who deny it. How well did ethanol in fuel work out, and how environmentally friendly is bioethanol? How large is environmental footprint of a hybrid car? The only rational solution these days, e.i. nucular (GWB) is not considered.

I mostly agree with this - however the advent of Trump - and thus not easily foreseeable policies - embodying policies from the (former) left and the right the media is a bit in upheaval, so have been mainstream Republicans who were fine with this continued charade. No more..
