On the show On Point right now. What really caused WWII and Nazism and how climate change can recreate those conditions.

WWII was actually caused by environmental conservationists and other chicken littles: the Nazis were fanatical land conservationists, and they believed the nonsense about the world was running out of oil! So they wanted to start a war to grab more of the finite and dwindling oil for "their people."

Of course those idiots were promoted into place by rich banksters who knew their shell game during the bubble had resulted in multiple conflicting claims on wealth. A war would wipe out the middle class' claims in many countries, and preserve the rich banksters' own claims. War was a mechanism for wiping out a segment of population's claims on wealth.

What? WWII was caused by the fact that the reparations Germany had to pay after WWI were crushing to their economy and way of life. Their only way out of this punitive, generations-long servitude was another war.

Comparing Obama to Hitler just reveals how stupid you are. But then again, that comes at no surprise.

4   HEY YOU   2015 Oct 13, 3:09pm

One can't compare G.W. Bush to Hitler,Hitler would never allow something like 9/11 on his watch.

5   Tenpoundbass   2015 Oct 13, 3:39pm

"Whew is it hot, hey Comadont Schultz, throw another jew in the oven."

How much sense does that even make?

Maybe you should actually listen to the broadcast before posting to a thread about it.

They could have just refused to pay. Wars cost a lot more. I have always believed the "crushing debt" was just an excuse.

Buy cheap Taiga land full of Larch Pine in Canada and Russia, make a Fortune. If Global Warming really takes off... it'll be the next breadbasket. Chop down the Larch for pulpwood, then plant Winter Wheat and Rye.

In the post-apocalyptic hellscape the only crop worth planting is yams!

German WWI debt was cancelled in 1932 at the Lausanne Conference. Hitler did not come to power until 1933. WWII did not start until 1939. Please don't believe everything taught in public high school history classes.

Yes, bad debts had something to do with WWII (and most wars), but not the debt from WWI reparations. The bad debts that led to WWII were the debts created during the 1920's bubble. Here is what I said earlier:

Of course those idiots (Nazis) were promoted into place by rich banksters who knew their shell game during the bubble had resulted in multiple conflicting claims on wealth. A war would wipe out the middle class' claims (on wealth) in many countries, and preserve the rich banksters' own claims. War was a mechanism for wiping out a segment of population's claims on wealth.

Nazis were agrarian conservationists (obsessed with "lebensraum" in the east despite German population had been voluntarily moving westward in pursuit of economic opportunity for half a century before WWII) and chicken littles who bought the whole "world running out of oil" nonsense, and wanted to grab what little finite oil there was left in the world for "their people." Little did they know they were sitting on tons of oil in Libya (Italian colony at the time) yet to be discovered, while they tried to push their way into the middleast and Caucasus oil fields, pissing off Anglo-Americans and Russians alike.

It will also cause your hair to fall out, your teeth to rot, heart disease, bad eye sight, bad breath, and worse of all, you will start believing that liberals make sense. It will cause automobile accidents, drought, record rain falls, record snow falls. It will cause species to become extinct and extinct species to suddenly revive. It is the be all and end all of anything and everything. All hail Climate Change.

you will start believing that liberals make sense.

When a person says group X is wrong or doesn't make sense but cannot demonstrate that fact, it says far more about the person making the comment.

But hey, I'll give you another chance. Exactly what doesn't make sense about liberal ideas and why?

everybody above this post is wrong.
weak foreign policy and weak leadership in england ignited wwII.
what if neville and friends had put their foot down on the military pedal when sausageland first started inhaling its neighbors...
what if neville drew a red line and....oh wait....libbys are colorblind....they can't see red lines...

If Chamberlain had not compromised at Munich, WWII would have started a year earlier than it actually did. Germany and the USSR did not have non-aggression pact with each other yet, so outlook would be the combined military might of Czechoslovakia and the USSR (not sure how Poland, hostile with both Germany and the USSR, would position itself in such a conflict all around its borders) on the East Front plus Britain and France on the West Front confronting Germany, but with East Front extremely inaccessible due to Poland in the middle taking up most of the frontiers between the belligerents, with Czech-German border nearly impassable (Sudetenland mountain passes). The bulk of the German military might would be thrown to the West Front for a knock-out punch there first, just like WWI's Schlieffen Plan.

If France collapses quickly in late 1938 or early 1939 under such a German assault, just like it did historically in the summer of 1940, Britain would be doomed by Luftwaffe because the crucial coastal Radar early warning system along the southeast coast wasn't operational until early 1940. Without the RADAR early warning system, the German bombers "would always get through" just like every inter-war strategist expected. RAF would have been largely destroyed on the ground, and the Royal Navy would have been chased from the English Channel by Stuka dive bombers. There wouldn't be enough hard core peasants in London to resist Germans like the Russians did in Stalingrad or putting up with mass starvation at Leningrad/St.Petersberg during the historical WWII; nor would Americans be able to launch giant pincer movements to relieve the siege of London like Russians did to relieve Stalingrad and Leningrad (hence giving the defenders hope while under siege long before the counter-attacks took place)

So, despite the bad rep Chamberlain got, his compromise was strategically correct. I suspect the decision wasn't even his, but that of the British Imperial GHQ, reflecting the reality of military readiness. Hitler was correct in stating that Chamberlain cheated him out of a war in 1938.

It has just been demonstrated that neither mmmarvel nor any other conservative can answer that question.

I have another theory on that piece of history. They couldn't afford to put their foot down at that point. I'm pretty sure once it got to that boiling point, there was no turning back, war was inevitable. Once people hate each other that much, ain't nothing gonna stop the slaughterhouse.

Classical liberal/libertarian ideas centered individual liberty are fine.

"Progressives" however are in reality regressives.
