I remember the San Francisco Chronicle quoted me saying that "a close relative of mine who works for The federal government tells me that the senior officials at HUD consider patent a must read each morning." The relative was my brother who spent 46 years with HUD and who died on Tuesday.

I think you mean PatNet, not "patent" ;). Cool story, do you have a link? I did not know of known cases of big-time officials admitting to reading PatNet, although Greenspan, Geithner and "The Bernank" Bernanke certainly MAY have been lurking amongst us.
PS: When is the 10-year reuniuon? I joined June 16, 2005.

I wonder if anyone cringed when I've told my story about the closing of my house.
Where I got a GFE(good faith estimate),the idea behind was transparency, one quote from the bank wtih all of the numbers that they must abide by thoughout the closing.
How ever I got a revised one every single day for the first 30 days of my closing. Mostly due to the fact that the FHA was changing the guidelines everyday, spawning a new GFE.
These Idiots makes rules that supercedes each other. No wonder nothing gets done in Washington.
Happy day! I've been here since nearly the beginning... lotsa changes. But I still check back, like a guilty pleasure.
I've been here since the beginning too. :-) Never did know quite what to do with the site.
PatNet is 10 years old
Based on the adult level (or non-adult, in your case) of your postings here, you're the same age.
And I'd say you're the same IQ.

Reading PatNet is like gawking at a horrible car crash. It's disturbing, but you can't look away.
This certainly explains the inability of the ruling parties to compromise....or is it the other way around?

Just thinking that it's been 10 years since this site was started. Boy has it changed. Remember when it was about real estate?
