In the article, author Ian Lang attempts to mask douchebaggery with evolution, explaining that we used to think that men love curves because they imply that women aren't literally starving (i.e. it's not a famine) and can pop out a child at any given time. (I mean, women, what else are they good for, amirite?) That is, until science told us that men actually dig skinny chicks — which was super important for AskMen to report on, because evaluating women's bodies under the lens of the male gaze is just a fun Friday activity.

And this is written by Managing Editor Jessica Samakow. One would expect a little bit of professionalism from a managing editor. FYI, that's the senior member of a publication's management team who reports directly to the Editor in Chief, the big cheese. The managing editor basically controls what kind of editorials are written and what kinds are not. They have huge influence on an newspaper's editorial section.

The article that Samaokow is bitching about -- and I say bitching because criticizing and even complaining about would be terms that would imply some level of constructiveness and rationality -- is Female Attractiveness Linked To Lower Body Fat, a short article which references the peer-reviewed scientific paper The relationship of female physical attractiveness to body fatness.

The scientific paper, which Samaokow does not even dare address because doing so would reveal how much of a fool she is, was written by quite a few scientists, both males and females.

Idiots like Jessica Samakow only end up hurting their causes be demonstrating irrational behavior. Every subject matter is subject to scientific study, the results of which are not influenced by your arbitrary cultural preferences. Nature is what it is, not what you think it should be. You may want men to prefer fat women, but they do not. Admitting this does not make a person sexist; it makes him or her honest. And who is Jessica Samaokow to dictate what men should want in a romantic partner? Does Samaokow seek smelly homeless guys for partners? If not, she's a despicable hypocrite.

Understanding reality is the basis of all wisdom. To chastise honest reporting of scientific facts is to attack wisdom and to promote foolishness.

Oh, and Taylor Swift isn't just the ideal woman physically, she's also the ideal woman in terms of being a person. Her mind, her personality, her talent, her morality, and her kindness is exactly what makes her what men want to marry instead of you, Jessica.
