George Bush was a traitor who protected the terrorists behind 9/11

Fact: The CIA knew about Al Qaeda in the U.S. back in 2000.
Fact: The Bush administration knew that the Saudi Arabia government and Saudi family were behind the attacks.
Fact: The Saudi family and government officials helped the hijackers both fiscally and logistically.
Fact: The Bush administration got the Saudi family members days after 9/11 including two dozen members of Osama bin Laden's family.
Fact: The Bush administration knew that Sadaam and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 but accused them of being behind 9/11 to start a war that detracted America from the real terrorists.

If you are upset that nearly 4,000 Americans were killed on 9/11, then you should not vote for Republican representatives and senators this election, for doing so is nothing less than supporting the people who supported the terrorists who killed Americans. Yes, the Republican establishment is responsible for 9/11. Vote Trump if you must, but if you vote for any Republicans in the House or Senate, you are supporting the terrorists behind 9/11.

As for George W. Bush, if our nation were a nation of laws, he and his entire cabinet would be hung as the traitors they are. They literally gave aid and comfort to the people who launched the largest and gravest terrorist attack on America. This is the very definition of treason.

While there is lot of truth to what you say, it can be argued that Clinton didn't do the job right in 1993 itself when there was a car bomb at the WTC. Clinton was preoccupied with using military tactics on civilians in Waco, working on NAFTA and the Brady Bill, not to mention sending troops to Somalia on a UN peacekeeping tour.

Then whitewater, Haiti, Hillarycare

He did get N. Korea to back of on nuclear though with the help of Jimmy Carter.

Hindsight is 20/20 but with the exception of the brady bill and N. Korea, most of the other stuff is garbage. Not dealing with al qaeda then was a big miscalculation. Had that been dealt with swiftly, 9/11 prob never would have happened.

THen you must be a Trump supporter-he is the one who called Bush out. The dems did not even start a Benghazi style investigation on Bush.

Bill Clinton was a mediocre president who looks awesome because the two presidents before and the two after him were such incompetent fuck-ups. But Bill Clinton wasn't a traitor. Bush, Cheney, and the entire Republican Party are.

Actually that's not quite correct. We had bin laden literally in special op's gun sights in sudan. The special ops guys wanted to kill him, Clinton wanted to kill him, but the JCS and senior generals kept scotching the operation because no one wanted to do anything that would affect their career if it went wrong. Instead of having boots on the ground pop bin laden, the generals decided to send cruise missiles instead and ended up missed bin laden. I'll have to look through my books to see which one has the story.

And those that voted for G.W.Bush might be called co-conspirators.

JCS? Jesus Christ Superstar? Another thing we have religion to blame for.

JCS?

JCS=Joint Chiefs of Staff.

"Here is a list of nine opportunities to capture or kill Osama bin Laden that were missed after he came to be known to the world as a terrorist."

None of it rivals though our Saudi "allies" reportedly paying our Pakistani "allies" to hide him in Pakistan, while continuing to collect "aid" from us in the GWOT.

You might also want to see this PBS Frontline report on the history of ISIL/Daesh, founded by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. According to the report, Dick Cheney enabled al-Zarqawi to get away, and Colin Powell elevated al-Zarqawi to global prominence by naming him in front of the United Nations and talking about him for seven minutes. (Asked for comment, Powell called it "a passing reference.") The W administration was using al-Zarqawi to allege a link between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, in order to justify invading Iraq, despite a lack of evidence.

Dan, sometimes your binary computer thinking goes off the rails, for example here. AFAIK, no law in our nation would justify doing what you suggest to former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, nor would such a law be even a good idea. That part of your comment illustrates one reason why we don't often get the best people in government, because the public process has devolved to such incivility and loss of perspective. There are no perfect people, and if you want at least decent people, you have to accept they're not perfect.

I still wonder why did the dems refuse to go after Bush? Look at the repubs go after benghazi-the Iraq war needs to be investigated. I just find it odd that trump is the only one who called it out-in a repub primary in South Carolina no less!

why did the dems refuse to go after Bush?

Same reason they refused even to consider single-payer healthcare at a time when most Americans (including the President) claimed to support it. They don't really want to upset the apple cart, or adversely affect the output of the geese that lay the golden eggs, e.g. the two MICs (military industrial complex + medical industrial complex). Ds offer the somewhat less bad alternative to the Rs, like vaping vs smoking.
