Case in point, Eastern Europeans have faced challenges of acceptance in Western Europe as for a long time (and somewhat even up to today) they have been significantly poorer due to the cold war and the communist regime. They were often regarded as 2nd class citizens when immigrating/fleeing into the west. Yet, they never complained and mostly integrated with society, and those who stayed in their countries turned those around with the advent of capitalism, eagerly joined the European union / trade deals, while still respecting their tradition and culture. Today countries like Poland are economic powerhouses and defenders of European traditions, religion and values and many eastern European countries have been consistently improving their economies over the years even in the face of adverse events such as wars and ethnic clashes. What a stark difference to the black community and their victim mentality enabled by the progressive left. No progress at all, just race-baiting instead of coming together.

You are talking about more than 150 years ago, whereas the struggle of Eastern Europe is relatively recent compared to that. Apart from the deranged cries of SJWs there is zero proof of racism in today's society wrt jobs, education, sports, and any other public functions. It's a socio-economical and cultural problem, but certainly nobody is preventing blacks from achieving their dreams today, in fact, there are plenty of programs favoring minorities. Yet, whenever there is a problem, the cause is supposedly racism and bigotry, and that in a society that is less religious and more diverse/globalized by the day? You can't seriously believe that. That quote by Rob Marsh was somewhat similar to Obama's speech in that they both included the idea of working hard and having values. But the language and concepts are different. Melania or her speech writers definitely stole that bits from Obama's speech. It was just too similar.
Treating people with dignity and respect and honoring your word is different from remaining loyal to those you do business with. In fact, Obama's speech had a more honorable focus on core values, whereas Rob Marsh's message was more tribal and brand building with a focus on business partners.
The whatever aspect here is that we are not electing Melania, so in a way it's a nothingburger. The lol part is the fact that Trump's campaign is so clueless to let it happen and their response is laughable. Manafort The Douche actually blamed Hillary for the gaffe. At least Lewandowski The Brute acknowledged that the speechwriter should be fired. Obviously, Michelle Obama feels very much the same feelings towards her family, the fact that the speech itself is being focused on for 50 words, including 'ands' and 'thes' and things like that is totally ignoring the facts of the speech itself. The speech was a poignant speech, we don't beleive there is anything in that speech that doesn't reflect her thinking. And we don't think -- we're comfortable that the words that she used were personal to her.
The fact that they are things like care and respect and compassion, those are not extraordinary words, and certainly when you talk about family they are normal words.
