Ignore the problem and pretend it doesn't exist.
Strategy 2: Hail Mary (Republicans)
Look at a higher power (god, engineers) to magically solve the problem before the shit hits the fan.
Strategy 3: Shrug (Republicans)
Admit that it's a problem but one not worth solving. Hope your ass isn't the one fried.
Strategy 4: Mitigation (Democrats)
Take actions to reduce the chance or degree to which the problem will happen.
Strategy 5: Insurance (Democrats)
Accept that climate change is going to happen and start dealing with it by building sea walls or taking other actions.
Strategy 6: Contingencies (No one)
Give up on planet Earth and move to another Earth-like planet. Unfortunately, we don't have the technology to do this or a place to go.
