I'm fairly moderate socially, maybe even leaning progressive, as is my wife, but we both think things are getting way too crazy and "in our faces" in the worst, aggressive manner, when it comes to transgenderism and the whole LGBTQQQ - BBQWTF thing.

It's going to backfire and create a nasty whipsaw socially.
