We have arrived a point where simply "feeling uncomfortable" gives one the power to demand the removal of an esteemed speaker (Douglas Crockford) even though his alleged flaws are nebulous and utterly irrelevant to his topic of discussion.
Of course this is part and parcel of a disturbing trend in the states towards absolving SJWs from all responsibility for their actions. They are free to cause real economic and reputational harm with no accountability for their actions. They simply accuse the target of "causing discomfort" as if that were a crime and for some reason are taken seriously.
Why should their "discomfort" not be solely their own problem? What gives their whimsical feelings such importance?
