How many Republicans have been in office for years over the past years?
Glad Trump found the problem.
Reagan,G.W.Bush, thank god that we had term limits.
This is as good as done! After all, candidates are honest people who won't say just anything to get elected, and ALWAYS keep their campaign promises.
Nemmind that experience has shown that junior congressmen are more susceptible to lobbyists and special-interest groups than senior ones.
Term limits have accomplished jack squat to clean up Washington or the statehouses. They've made corruption worse.
Regardless of whether or not it is a good policy, it's a smart political move by Trump. It's a popular issue, but it will never pass. Can you imagine congress, which is run by the more senior members, passing this? It makes sense to have a term limit for the Pres, who has a lot of power. It might make sense for time limits on judges, albeit long time periods. For Congress, which is a complicated consensus building group, term limits of 6 years would probably result in an absolute unworkable mess.
He could suggest line item veto to limit corruption, but most of his voters wouldn't know what it meant. Plus, it would also never pass. Plus, it also might prevent congress from working together. Congress critters regularly buy support for bills by adding things for certain members.
Finally someone wants to put the end to this "Old boys club" and their corruption. Now that would be really good change. Bans on lobbying and lifetime positions.

Hillary won't do that, corruption and bribery is her meal ticket just like the rest of them politicians.
