The exclusion of Stein and Johnson from the debates, and their low levels of support, are proof that democracy sort of works in America.
Of course, there's the little problem of Fat Birther getting so near the presidency, and the rot in the two major parties, but they may be imploding just fine. There is reason to feel some hope for the future.
But we desperately need better candidates in the other parties. Stein should never have gotten this far.
IMO, the Green Party should be pushing for a fossil fuel tax on both the consumption and extraction side. The extraction tax should be tied to potential environmental issues caused by secondary and tertiary extraction. The consumption tax should be tied to the increases in smog, acidification, particulate matter, and global warming that are all caused by fossil fuel burning. This would balance out the tax incentives given to alternative energy systems, and the alternatives would be more competitive.
The Greens should be using science to make their point. If they end up spray painting construction equipment (Stein), they will remain a joke to the majority of Americans.
Do you have a link for what Stein said about the pipeline? I gather from the response that she is promoting some conspiracy theory linking ISIS to a pipeline or something. I did see that she's promoting the idea that SA and Qatar are funding both ISIS and the Clinton Foundation.
Jill is stealing votes from Hillary. You know that don't you? So is Mr. Johnson, when Trump wins I want you to cry about who should be allowed to run and who you think you personally should be allowed to bar from running.
Did Jill stein delete 33,000 emails after a congressional subpeona?? Did she trya nd bribe the FBI, accept 12 million from the Moroccan King, reveal highly classified info during a debate??
They are not running after stein. They are running away from everyone else...
It's sad, watching some confused American voters run after yet another poor choice without understanding it.
It's the same point that people can't get through their brainwashed vacuum.
All the parties exist because their genius voters support a particular political theology.
If they have enough backers, they can get on the ballots.
IT'S NOT THE PARTIES,IT'S THE VOTERS THAT ARE THE PROBLEM!
Don't vote my way? You are the enemy if you vote against me.
But!But!But! It's not my fault!
I can't believe Jill Stein convinced so many of the conspiracy that Iraq had WMD.
She has kept us in constant conflict my whole life.
She forced outsourcing on america.
She allowed the infrastructure to collapse.
She personally destroys the air, water, land with her international connection to
unregulated corporations.
Top this pretzel logic,ASSHOLES!
Got my ballot yesterday. It has write-in lines in the individual races.
What's that for??

Agreed.
Then the congressional Republicans will block that until the year 2062, at which point the grandson of HEY YOU will blame both Democratic and Republican voters for the problem.
In keeping with Green Party and Libertarian Party tradition, Jill Stein is a conspiracy-theory loon.
It's sad, watching some confused American voters run after yet another poor choice without understanding it. Brainwashed by 25 (not 30) years of anti-Clinton propaganda cranked out by an industry built around hating Clintons (because they're winners and they're not total Nazis), American idiots of all stripes support unqualified canditates like Stein and Johnson whose positions are based on lies and ignorance.
We need new political parties. These parties should have national organizations and field qualified candidates for elective office at every level.
Instead, we're still getting Jill Stein.
