President Elect Trump won the presidency in an electoral landslide (306 votes with Michigan counted)

Why is it that they support a democracy only if their candidate wins?

What is wrong with people?

The only question now is whether it will take 2 more days or 4 more days for libs to tire out and go back to their lives.

Libs have also been crowned the most intolerant political group of all time as of Nov 8th. Please step up and accept your award.

The free ride is over but life isn't

I don't think it's about not accepting the results, but sending a message of what the American people want. Republicans think they have a mandate... not true when you don't win the popular vote.

When you win the Electoral College, when your party retains the House (despite more far more Republican seats, many of them held by vulnerable Freshmen, in play), and when the Democrats are prevented from retaking the Senate which everybody thought stood a good chance of happening.

When your candidate won a majority of the popular vote in the majority of the states.
When a candidate picks up states no Republican has done well in in years, and lost only a few swing states, and then by a tiny fraction.

When everybody from Wall Street to Silicon Valley, the Media from Thomas Freidman to David Brooks to Matt Yglesias, to Senators from your own Party (Graham) opposing you, and you won anyway. You honestly couldn't have had the game rigged more against Trump.

He's got a mandate. Dem popular vote was down "Big League" since 2012.

He's going to control the narrative, because the MSM is now irrelevant. The only surprising thing was that it took 20 years.

Considering 30% of Americans still find the msm trustworthy even after wikileaks emails, I'm not that surprised.

IMPEACH!

The republicans will have to impeach Trump as they control Congress. I'd love to see them do that, especially if they topple his administration. The Trump supporters would have rage boners the likes of which even the #NotMyPresident protesters have never seen before.

Well, I guess we can mark that conjecture as wrong.

Yep. That would be the most dangerous thing, unless he was absolutely positively beyond a doubt caught doing something incredibly treasonous. THAT would bring a revolution, and it wouldn't be as diet soda as college "anarchists" breaking windows.

The question is, will Ivanka be ready in 2024? Or will she have to wait for her turn after Mike Pence?

People don't trust the government -- and rightfully so -- especially those who voted for Trump. There will always be a doubt.

Bullshit. That's a picture of Kim Jong-un, benevolent leader, who would never do such a thing, but if he did, he would do it in a spectacular way shattering all world records in baseball.

Ivanka running never occurred to me as a possibility until just now. For a female candidate she has a great shot (depending on how her dad does) great demeanor, and generally seems like a likeable person.

Contrast that with Chelsea, who ran her mouth a little too much during this last campaign and generally acts too much like her mom.

When the right stops being racist morons.

Very silly comment. I expected something more sensible from Marcus.

The above is a false statement, and pure propaganda, with a solid dose of passive-aggressive gloating and trolling thrown in. It provably has not happened for the last 192 years that Democrats lost the national popular vote, but won the electoral college vote, and then kept silent about the injustice.

The one and ONLY time that Democrats won the presidency without winning the popular vote was when John Quincy Adams won in 1824. That was 192 years ago. Do you REALLY think it is possible to indict the motives of the Democratic Party and their supporters TODAY based on something that happened 192 years ago? Do we even know whether Democrats gloated about that particular injustice in 1824? I don't expect you to get real, but those are the facts, for the record.

The premise for this whole thread is pure balderdash.

I broke it down for people that were going to jump to conclusions, which is more than Trump has ever done with his silly comments.

I'll agree to move on. But I would say we know what way less than half of America wants. It wasn't even half of the voters and a lot of democrats didn't vote.

Poor Trump, they probably will impeach him in order to install Pence. That is, if he doesnt bend over and accept Ryans agenda of privatizing (read destroying) Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. We will see if he has the balls to at least make good on keeping those programs intact, as he most certainly promised to do so.

Ironically it might be the Dems that save him as it takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict and remove. Pence with the current congress is a horrid thought. Aside from his temperament/ personality I always thought Trump was the best Republican policy wise. This is going to be quite a ride.

We already have the answers. Stop whining.

I would love to be the Kleenex truck driver in DC this week.

I would also like to see a clip of Sally Kohn melting down crying.

63   marcus   2016 Nov 11, 7:02pm

You could have just quoted

"How long have you been here"

and answered

"I was just being nice."

But that wouldn't have been any fun, becasue I wouldn't have seen it as being about me.

Maybe it is a bit childish. My Patrick.net habit is wearing on me because there are a lot of really bad winners around here. Still if you intentionally quote an asshole to troll me, or if you don't agree he's an asshole, then I don't need to see your posts.

I resent anyone telling me what i should and should not quote. It's a free country and Patrick.net practices freedom of speech.
Go ahead and put me on ignore. I aint gonna cry like the BLM crowd crying over Trump's victory.
