Her husband emailed me today. I had emailed her on Friday, she replied Saturday. I didn't get the chance to follow up.

Her facebook has posts from people who know her IRL posted yesterday indicating that she had passed.

Yes, horrible news if true. Turtledove was hard working, resourceful, intelligent and basically a good human being. I never cease to marvel how she kept her composure amidst a bunch of hairy ass, crude internet barbarians, but never lost her femininity. I am sad she is not able to reap the rewards of her industriousness with her husband and poor children.

Very depressing, but, like life, unpredictable.

I would like some follow up i.e. was she suffering from an undisclosed chronic illness, etc.

Her photo was updated on facebook yesterday and also indicated that she had passed. Not sure what happened as yet, but sounds sudden and unexpected

Sadly, I have to confirm MMR's news. Her FB account wasn't much used, but her friend has a huge post from yesterday with the news. She leaves behind two 12 year old girls, a husband, and a lot friends who will miss her dearly.
She will also be missed by many on Patnet.
I know I will miss her. 😥

My wife and I have been floored by it and I was amazed that her husband dealing with such grief had the willingness and presence of mind to email me.

So what happened? It's seldom to hear of someone, in her mid-30s, passing away from natural causes, unless it was a serious illness.
