What gets me is that Thanksgiving Day has turned into just another shopping day, where instead of enjoying the company of friends and family, Americans rush from the dinner table to stand in lines with strangers for "great" deals on shoddy merchandise made cheaply especially for the purpose of offering "amazing" deals on that day.
You can't convince these people that they're doing anything wrong. They are true believers more fervent than any Catholic nun.

I'm sure that some gadget they bought five years ago after spending the night in a tent outside Best Buy more than compensates ten times over than would have spending time with their families on that special day.
