And the media was against him, at first refusing to cover his campaign, and then printing relentless smears against him. All the while the media maintained a "horse race" analogy with the electoral vote count that put nearly all superdelegate votes in Hillary's column making it seem like she was way ahead and he didn't stand a chance.
