New Hampshire has a murder rate lower than those exclusively lily white countries to which the USA is always compared in these gun violence discussions.

Our gun murder rate is statistically contained to our black community. If we cared to stop gun violence we would ask ourselves why the black communities are more violent than warzones.

Vox must be playing fast and loose w their (estimated) guns per household stat AND they are comparing to gun murders rather than all murders. The truth is legal gun ownership rate has a NEGATIVE correlation to the murder rate.

% of blacks in a population is directly correlated to murder rate. A simple linear regression using state number works as a decent model to predict city and neighborhood murder rates... To a lessor degree it also works to predict murder rates of other countries.

Prove of this is? Other than I say so. Doesn't look that way to me, but I could only find a map of gun deaths not murders. Although most gun deaths are murders and I'm pretty sure the people killed don't care about the distinction. I do notice that 6 of the highest gun ownership states are also the highest murder rate states .
