Not sure if this Podesta link is true, but I hope that they can convert CO2 like they claim - could cut global heating: http://www.jouleunlimited.com/why-joule

No. The Russians did not interfere with our elections. They influenced our elections, and although they had to commit an illegal act to do so, there interference is still valid.

I explain why in this thread as that's a much bigger conversation than what you seem to be asking for.

It's going to be a disaster.

Did you know we can convert plastic into diesel fuel - EXTREMELY high quality diesel fuel - but we don't. Why not?

I think I read that the most efficient plant, an algae of some sort, was able to convert sunlight energy to energy storage at 1% efficiency. Biofuels are a disaster. They are TREMENDOUSLY inefficient. You'd want solar (15% and up) and convert that to, I dunno, hydrogen gas or something.

Synthetic gas is no longer a thing, but it used to be hydrogen and carbon monoxide. That's how 50's housewives killed themselves by sticking their head in an oven.

With solar, you could dump excess energy not needed by the grid to produce hydrogen gas from electrolysis of water. This is only 50% efficient, and then there's more inefficiency compressing it, and then you still have to route it around, and it's EXTREMELY volatile. Still, should be easy to do energy storage with that.
