EVERY automaker missed huge, with many down near or more than double digits, and most also are seeing swelling inventories of unsold vehicles PILE UP, but -

"GM, one of the few OEMs to actually disclose dealer inventories in monthly sales releases, reported that April inventories increased to 100 days (935,758 vehicles) from 98 days at the end of March and just 71 days (681,402 vehicles) in April 2016. "

Betting just like in 08 people will blame the effect, and ignore the cause.

I look at new vehicles & can never justify the price.
Depreciation,more insurance,more ad valorem tax,
interest on loan.

EVERY automaker missed huge,

I can't imagine why when probably 75% of new car customers trade in cars they're yuuugely upside down in and wrap the balances into 72 month contracts. Other than that, there shouldn't be any problems.

Annualized auto sales are still at very high levels. My main objections on any new car that I would consider is the crappy CVT or dual clutch automatic transmission that all automakers seem to use today.

You can thank CAFE standards for that.

You doubt that your great country is on the wane? I say only this - look around you.

Looked around me: great California weather, well-kept 3-5000 sq.ft houses with pool in every other backyard, new shiny cars parked in driveways (every 4th or 5th of which is a Tesla S or X), golden retrievers and chocolate labs patrolling manicured lawns...

How's weather in Olgino?

Anyone else find it funny that "anon" chose to make his "USA wane" comment in a 6 month old stock market thread, when the last 6 months has seen a historic rise in the market?

This is fucking great wonderful news. So it turns out we can't keep up the charade for long that entry level cars start at $30K, so it makes driverless cars attractive, which the Oligarchs plan on taking from us and charging us a monthly usage to get from point A to point B. This will make cars affordable again, and our floundering youth can get off their Sorry Obamaphone asses and get back to work. Now I know that's not the deal Obama promised you Shitbird Libs that are rooting on American youths being replaced by marauding 3rd worlders. But I'm already seeing used cars under $1500. That hasn't been seen in well over 9 years, since cash for clunkers.
On a side note, my tax dollars aren't going to make affordable Used cars disappear anymore. Last week my daughter wanted to get rid of an old car she doesn't want. When Obama was King, he was subsidizing Cash for Clunkers, that was $600 to $1200 for a fucking junk car! Can you believe that shit?!?
Now they are like well we'll give you $75(like they always did before), we said well it still runs. they said the most they will give is $200. So my daughter put in on CL as a used car and got $700 2 hours later.

Yeah buddy new car prices have to come WAAAAAAY down. So we can get back fucking MAGA'n'ing again.

Buy a car and get back to work you sorry lazy useless Fucks!

How do you know that these cars weren't flooded recently, especially where you live?

People work longer hours and develop great skill sets only to find that work and skill are losing their worth while the markets rocket to new highs by searching the world for squalor conditions and oppression to exploit.

I swear you’re almost about to join the MAGA party. I’ll understand if you still don’t like Trump. Not that many of us actually do.

Well flood cars are a whole different story, I'm seeing 2013 cars for $2500 you know it's a flood car.

Metal prices are also way down. Trump isn't making sure China gets all of the cheap scarp metal.

If only there were other ways to generate income than owning things, buying and selling them.

All businesses buy and sell. So you want to end all private ownership of businesses and property.
Comrade Jazz, it's called communism.

Home prices rise! Home prices rise!
Everything's up! Everything's up!

I probably need to talk to the unpissed-off poor,at this moment,to see how they are doing.

Ahhh, so the poor get upset when I make a couple of dollars on my hard earned 401K plan. Fuck them.
