In the very beginning we did not know that we would be training our replacements the CIO came down from Boston, said that she would hold a town hall meeting to discuss the future of our IT at our particular company,

That sick anti American fuck who forced this on America is gonna get it now when this man wins

If liberals could, they'd replace us all and put us on welfare so we can keep voting for them. Those people are fucked up.

I hope this man wins, for Americas sake.

I'm a liberal, and I've never been on welfare or had any government handout my entire life. And such handouts would not even be necessary if capitalism wasn't unregulated lawless and creating poverty.

By the way, the biggest welfare in our country goes to defense contractors followed by farm owners. Let's cut that welfare first.

capitalism

This is capitalism at work--the year old car, the happy, optimistic young people, their nice clothes, the soda pops, all brought to you by Capitalism:

Yes, how much of our budget is defense? And you all (not you Dan) want to throw more money at it. If you really wanted to decrease spending wouldn't you look at where you spend the most money.

The religious right have no problem killing innocent people but heavens forbid taxing those who make over $250,000 3% to help the dieing and sick in this country.

Who is going to create a job if you tax profit away in a global competition against foreign companies that pay 0% tax?

Shackling private business isn't a solution.

No, it's not. That's commerce at work. If you do not know the difference between commerce and capitalism, then your opinion does not count.

There is nothing in the mechanism of owners paying workers less far than the workers produce that results in wealth. In fact, it deteriorates wealth because one person's income becomes the next person's income.

About $1 trillion / yr. More than enough to eliminate the national debt over ten to twenty years and then provide either tax breaks or a surplus that can be used to fix America's infrastructure.

defense

The first order of government.

Our defense would be better of if we cut military spending by 90%. That would still leave us as the greatest military spender. Spending more than that compromises the safety of Americans because the government has to start wars in order to continue justifying spending. Starting wars kills Americans.

Taxes imposed by owners on workers are the highest taxes of them all. If corporations didn't tax their employees, then we wouldn't need to tax corporations at all.

What owners? You are working on your own free will. You and that Jazz dude seriously don't understand freedom or what?

You are working on your own free will.

Yes, so then the rule can be everyone is paid exactly the same thing. If you don't like that, you are welcome to not work. Sounds fair?

The argument that people should have zero say in the work conditions other than a single accept or reject is ridiculous and hypocritical. You would never tolerate being forced to make such a dichotomic choice.

I have trained H-1B's before. If I were to say "no," I would be out of a job the next day.

Welcome training your replacement. You can mislead him and set him up for failure while collecting a paycheck and interviewing at other places. Since you are training your replacement, you can be open about taking hours off to interview for you next job.

After you set your replacement out for failure, you can consult with your prior company for a very large hourly rate. After all, you are the only one who actually knows the system and what constructs are honeypots you placed in the system to mislead your replacement. You should place these honeypots before your job is in danger.

Sure, fix the system, but do so in a way that makes the company even more dependent on you. Put bytecode in blobs in the database where only you have the source and the bytecode is obfuscated. Call it dynamic programming.

The company will have to choose between writing the whole system from scratch, which they will never do, or paying you thousands of dollars for every trivial change. Meanwhile, you have a better day job for security.

14   Shaman   2017 May 19, 5:19pm

Dan, that is evil genius territory, and better than such a company deserves!

Fuck, I hate it when I have to agree with Dan!

16   Booger   2017 May 19, 7:55pm

I would refuse to train, and then go see an employment lawyer, and do everything I can to have the appropriate person at the company prosecuted.

Employers NEED to be afraid of lawsuits and prosecution for doing this. This will not happen until people stand up against their employers.

23   indc   2017 May 20, 7:07am

My question to anyone who was replaced by H1-B. If your higher ups ask you to train your replacement wouldn't you just quit the company? It should not make any difference if it is H1-b or citizen? What do you think you will benefit from training your replacement?

24   lostand confused   2017 May 20, 7:38am

As someone who went through this-your severance package is held up. For me that was 7 months salary plus medical and other benefits , plus vesting of my shares that did not vest yet. Either train and get signoff from the "trainee" or lose your entire package.

Not the best-at that time I wrote to everyone from Diane Fianstein to congress critters-only response I got was request for funding during camapign elections. The dem reponse to this issue as well as the feminazism is what slowly drove me from the dems.

Then you wonder why trump won-he is the only one talking about this. Even the guy who is now running for congress is running on the repub ticket. Luckily I am not a white male, so I can talk about this without being called a racist. That is where the dems lose a lot of voters-we cannot even discuss issues without being called a deplorable, irredeemable racist etc. heck even Hilalry said the same.

At least those of us in white collar move on-I have since moved on into management. But people with no degrees and skills who are flooded with the illegals who are willing to work below minimum wage and no benefits and no rules and no recourse to the law-who is going to hire them-when you have a surplus of illegals- and what are they going to do. if they open their mouth-they are racist neandrathals looking to going back to slavery.

Something gotta give-too many affected people with no hope-either let Trump do what he promised or this country is going to explode. A bunch of armed 2nd amendment folks vs SJW snowflakes-that should be interesting.

It hasn’t stopped but increased as Hindu H1B displace 🇺🇸 whites.
