Parents certainly play an important role in a child's life, for better or for worse.
In fact parenting plays the biggest role.
"Institutionalized racism" has been a non-factor for many decades. Yet that's the first canary people try to point to even though it flew away long ago.

Fully agreed. Further vilifying male energy and dominance harms kids as these days many clearly grow up without enough fatherly influence.

Yup.
I don't think it's a coincidence that young black males commit half of the violent crime in the United States, and that blacks also have the highest single parent family rate of all minorities in the country.

As someone who has invested heavily into a son, with both money, time, and yes, walking him to school in the mornings, I hope to be able to take a picture of me and my son at his first day of college. I admire this man.
