He just picked a fight with the NFL and has them and the Democrats basically defending the 6-figure and millionaire players' right not to stand for the anthem.

"I'm so oppressed, I just signed a multimillion dollar contract. I just have to kneel during the National Anthem."

A private in the US Army makes $1600 a month. Is he allowed to kneel when the Anthem is played without jeopardizing his career?

The difference of course, is the private has an important job, whereas an NFL Player is just an entertainer.

"Leave the oppressed guys who make 6-7 Figures alone, Orange Douche! If the NFL wants to market itself as America's Pastime while kneeling in front of the flag (which started under a Black President, BTW), nobody should criticize it!"

Joey Democrat is at it in full force today. This must be a battleground topic that was identified by his manager early this morning.
62   Ceffer   2017 Sep 24, 10:23am

Recruit thugs, get a thug outcome. Makes perfect sense.

Loyalty to country is too abstract when you are focussed on narrow warlord tribalism, and football is if anything a re-enactment of narrow tribalism. Most of them are going to lose their money in idiot, grandiose ways and die with brain damage, which for most of them, was a narrow ledge to begin with.

Drop the anthem, there IS no higher purpose for these guys.

The owners are just big business whores worried about their money.

Those NFL players are just acting like spoiled liberal pricks.
64   RC2006   2017 Sep 24, 11:43am

It was inevitable with BLM, thug culture, and everything else that this behavior would rear it's head in the NFL. Lets see if throwing black power signs becomes the norm next every time a white gets tackled.

Hahaha. Things like this were once goofball speculation... not anymore, sadly! Seriously though, fuck the NFL on this. They need to reel this in quick or they are going to suffer quite a bit at the hands of former fans.

lol--you're hilarious. The President is trying to stifle free speech and once again Trumpkins try to turn it around. Has there every been a bigger bunch of babies? Yep. When a white IT guy who isn't on TV can write a memo on not be fired. When a couple can refuse to bake a cake because they don't endorse gay marriage. Yet an employee on live television can conduct a protest while on the employer's time, and suffer no reprecussions. However, if he wore Cancer Awareness or 9/11 Remembrance eye black, the NFL would fine his ass more than most people make in a month as they've done time and time again to fellow Players. I remember when they banned the Cowboys wearing decals to remember the murdered cops at all regular games

What's bullshit is your utter hypocrisy. You want/demand ESPN to fire Jamele Hill, but throw a pissy fit when the IT gets fired. In both cases it is up to their employer to decide whether or not repercussions are necessary. Once again the Trumpkins are like whiny babies. Do you want Big Government to make all the rules for society? Is that your solution?

If you don't like the NFL, don't fucking watch it. That is your choice. That's how things work in a free society. If you don't like ESPN, don't fucking watch it

He's campaigning as the President of the United States. I don't want him silenced at all. I want him to start behaving like the leader of the free world and someone who wants to defend the Constitution of the United States.

It's ironic that you say only one form of thought and speech is allowed because that is EXACTLY what Trump is saying. Kaep's free speech shouldn't be allowed.

If you don't like impingement of free speech, you should be outraged by Trump's statement.

Yep, you might get fired. It's up to your employer.

In this case, it is/was up to the NFL. Not you. Not Trump.

The only free speech issue is Trump trying to stifle a private citizen. And Trump telling a business how it should treat its employees.

Are you in favor of Big Government telling private businesses how to run their operations? I never pictured you for a nanny state wannabe.

New England fans boo their own players.

Remember, the Flag and the Anthem aren't Trump. It actually reveals a great deal that the MSM and Left mix them up
86   FuckTheMainstreamMedia   2017 Sep 25, 12:35am

Wait...are they protesting cops killing black people in greater numbers than other races(a notion that is false) or are they protesting Trump? Or is it something else?

If these imbeciles, and that is what they are, truly have one shit about black lives, they'd stop having kids they couldn't possibly properly raise and encourage the same of others.
87   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Sep 25, 8:50am

No matter how hard the AltLeft and greedy, cowardly NFL try, the National Anthem isn't Trump.

Reminder: Kneeling for the anthem began under Obama. The AltLeft politicized this first. Turnabout is fair play, so maximum shame mode and personalization/demonization should be active. In more than a year, the NFL has taken no steps to restrict divisive political protests by their own employees on national television.

While it fines players for wearing Remember 9/11 cleats, the NFL all of a sudden has discovered Free Speech. They want it to go away fast, they figure it's better to appeal to the youth (but making a big mistake since most AltLeft hate Football), and are too afraid to discipline their employees for Making Divisive Political Statements During Work Hours, so they figure by inventing some "Unity" bullshit, they'll silence the detractors.

The NFL is trying to call kneeling for the National Anthem "unity", as if a slick ad that is so obnoxiously laughable and discordant is going to fool anybody.
"Nothing says unity that some players deliberately disrespecting the national anthem before a game on TV."

I mean, if you put this in a novel and submitted to a publisher, they'd reject it for pushing the boundaries of belief too far.

Keep Personalizing and Demonizing. Make Goodell and Kaepernick and other "Oppressed" Multimillionaires the focus. The incongruity of privileged, wealthy athletes complaining about Oppression.

Keep banging the issue. The fact the Blue Loyalists hate it so is a sign it's highly effective and very dangerous. Just like Hillary Clinton's book tour, where she blames dozens of groups for her loss, is beautiful self-inflicted wounds that should be encouraged.

Never get in your enemies way when he makes a mistake. Indeed, encourage it.
88   joeyjojojunior   2017 Sep 25, 9:01am

And again--you are free to not watch the NFL to your hearts content. That's called free choice.

Go shopping at Hobby Lobby and have Chick-Fil-A for lunch. That should make you feel better.

The Politicization of Football began before Trump. It's time to hold the tax-exempt Monopoly responsible and not let them getting away with sweeping this under the rug. It's important that AltLeft Idenitarian Divisiveness be exposed and criticized.

In other words, it's time for the Nanny State Government to tell businesses how they need to operate. That's your theory?

The swamp is a tax-free Billion-dollar entity claiming to be All American, fining Players for wearing 9/11 gear, but tolerating employees on the clock creating Divisiveness against the very country that makes their million-dollar income possible on national television.

Yes. Firing a soldier for exercising his First Amendment rights would be Unconstitutional and Unamerican. It would be grounds for a multimillion dollar lawsuit.

A soldier also has the right to burn the flag. Political speech is exactly the point of the First Amendment.

Again, the Anthem and the Flag are not Trump. By protesting both, they are attacking America, which they believe in synonymous with Evil White Guys and "Pig Cops" anyway.

Meanwhile, the Media is trying to spin "If you don't respect the players disrespecting the Flag and Anthem, you're a divisive racist." But like the NFL "Unity" Ad, it's so dishonest and discordant with reality it only makes THEM look bad.

Actually guys like you that were going apeshit when Antifa or the crazy left tried to stop free speech by Milo or Alex Jones and now turn around and do the exact same thing to NFLers are the ones who look really bad.
94   Goran_K   2017 Sep 25, 9:32am

Trump is a freaking genius. This weekend proved it.

He basically forced the left/Democrats into the position of publicly opposing/hating/protesting the FREAKING NATIONAL ANTHEM and American FLAG.

Do Democrats really think they're going to retake states like Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania being the party that kneels and stretches during the National Anthem?

4D chess.
95   Goran_K   2017 Sep 25, 9:46am

Trump could release pictures of himself sucking off Putin, at this point, Middle America will only see this:

It was beautiful. I literally saw the Democrats give up any chance of taking back the Senate right before my very eyes. These idiots did this on nationally televised games throughout the country on CBS, ESPN, and other major networks.

Trump is the ultimate 4D chess player. I didn't vote for the guy, but he's the ultimate troll, and he is eating the Democrat party one bite at a time.
96   joeyjojojunior   2017 Sep 25, 10:07am

Trump has even got Tom Brady calling him out now. I'm sure that is part of the 4D chess though.
97   Ceffer   2017 Sep 25, 10:49am

Trump is a traitor for being controlled by the Russians.

But when he defends respect for the nation, he's a traitor, too!

What's a guy to do?
99   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Sep 25, 12:35pm

The NFL has disciplined players for:

* Wearing Breast Cancer Awareness eye black
* Wearing 9/11 Remembrance Cleats
* Flipping the Bird
* Dancing in the Endzone too long after a touchdown
* Hopping, Thrusting, etc.
* Making the "Picture" gesture
* Displaying Domestic Violence Awareness Messages

It seems the only thing the NFL doesn't want to discipline players for is disrespecting the Anthem.

As for the Left it was AWOL on Employee Free Speech when:

* Mozilla ditched Branden Eich for supporting anti-Gay Marriage Messaging with his own money in his own spare time.
* Christian couple refused to bake a Gay Wedding Cake. No Freedom of conscience then!
* IT Guy fired from Google over a single Memo

Those were good things that punished the bad people. Whereas gross disrespect for the Anthem and Flag is okay, because it's aimed at Trump. Think about them conflating all 3 together... they just revealed their true mentality.

"But doesn't Trump have to worry about NORTH KOREA?"

While North Korea was furthering it's missile capabilities and developing an alleged H-Bomb, CNN gushed over the President Messiah's NCAA picks.
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/03/16/politics/obama-ncaa-tournament-bracket/index.html

"But his billionaire friends don't like his Tweet. They even gave to him."

And yet, he stood by his opinion. That's draining the swamp.
