How come Saudi Arabia and Iran don't get along?
Saudi Arabia and Iran - two powerful neighbours - are locked in a fierce struggle for regional dominance.
The decades-old feud between them is exacerbated by religious differences. They each follow one of the two main sects in Islam - Iran is largely Shia Muslim, while Saudi Arabia sees itself as the leading Sunni Muslim power.

They are not two powerful neighbors....They are two failed nations.

I’d only be worried about Iran’s newly acquired nuclear ability via Obama and Saudi Arabia’s own hidden nuclear ability. Not to mention Israel.

Could be a powder box.

But im general I’d love to see Islamic regimes crash and burn.

Most of our problems began after 911.
Our budget surplus became a massive deficit.
We went through 2 stock market crashes.
We had to spend extraordinary amounts to fight Islam
Our wages stopped growing.
We ended up in a great depression.
We were forced to spend more on the military to fight terrorism.
We have to pay more for security at airports etc

I'd like for the Iranians to kick Saudi ass, making it harder for the Saudis to keep funding Wahhabi terrorism around the world.

But after that, it would be nice if the Iranians would revert to Zoroastrianism, the grand old religion native to their country, instead of the Arab import of Islam.

We can't get out of the Mid East. We tried that, and ISIS became an empire in no time. Imagine an ISIS that had continued to expand, the hell, chaos and genocide that would follow in the Mid East along with more 911 types of attack against us and the rest of the world. We are stuck there, wether we like it or not, until the people are willing to give up Islam for true democracy.

I dunno: in direct confrontation Iran doesn't really have a chance because Saudi AF is head and shoulders above Persian rag-tag collection of obsolete hardware and out-of-practice pilots. It doesn't really matter how much more tanks and cannon fodder you have if your opponent has the air superiority. Which Saudi will have from the day one.

The first thing that would happen is the Straights of Hormuz would be closed and 28% of the worlds oil supply would disappear leaving the US 9.5 million barrels a day short. Sure that would really be awesome.

After they drag a supertanker over the desert,750 miles to the oil fields to fill it up then drag it back the suez canal will work fine.

Really? You browsed the whole interwebs day and night and couldn't find the list of hardware on both sides? I find it hard to believe. Try wikipedia if all else fails.

Why don't you provide the source of your information that the Saudi AF is head and shoulders above? You made the statement, back it up.

So why is the saudi head and shoulders above saudi military falling on it's face against a handful of really rag tag Houthi rebels? The problems of being Saudi (expecting someone else to do everything for you), the royal family not trusting the military, and the crazy structure of having 2 military organizations (Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) and Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG)) that do not coordinate and are actually to keep each other in check means it's very doubtful the Saudi's are going to last long against Iran in an all out war.
