That's my 6 month old side kick celebrating his first Christmas. He's earning his keep by guarding all the presents.

Used to be, but apparently China had cheaper labor force, so entire outsourced. Accounting to India, Manufacturing to China. Elf staff lacked diversity quotas mandated by the state, and lost their tax benefits. Santa and some bureaucratic staff mostly left around the pole for old time sake. Also there are rumors that some old fuck named Bernie is running around demanding all presents be equal.

Get a foster dog for a while. The pound will euthanize dogs if there is no room especially during 4th of July fireworks when they are overloaded with runaways. You can foster a dog for 2 or 3 weeks and save it's life. We did that during the last July 4th. It was a wonderful experience.
It does not hurt to try it.

That's correct, he's 18 months now, and still here. Had a couple of instances where a one-way ride to the Korean restaurant was possibly in the cards, but he managed to skate past it. He's actually developing into a pretty solid creature and accomplishing a lot with the different training classes.

I like Trump, and fully agree with pulling out of Syria. But this, no. We really do not need another paid holiday for gov workers. What next, holiday status for some Jewish, Islamic, Wiccan, Mormon, Zoroastrian, or Puddish holy day? If anyone has a strong belief about some special day of superstition, just use one of your ample vacation days for the time off.

Problem is that they will get back pay whenever gov't shutdown ends -- for these days off. What should happen is that House and Senate do not get any pay or back pay for shutdown, and perhaps are assessed penalties for each day of shutdown.

It's actually the other Candycane Lane- in El Segundo. It's only a block long and a pretty concentrated dose of lights. They shut down the road for about 2 weeks every December for foot traffic only.
