Yes, Trump won over enough idiots, racists, and yes by default got a lot of republicans including even some of the smart republicans. to get about 28% (less than half of the 58% that voted) of the population to vote for him.

It's growing tiresome, most all hardcore angry Trump haters I knew on January 20th are now saying they might never vote for Democrats again regardless what Trump does or doesn't do. They also lament Trump hasn't been no where near as bad as anything the last three Presidents have been.
I don't see the Democrats beating him in 2020, unless they find Jesus between now and then, and learn how to be Sweet. They are most vile nasty people on the planet right now.
