Abused women

Escort is another term for slave and venerial disease. These women are horribly abused and anyone involved in this process is a monster

It really shocks me that this still happens in US. We are supposed to be a nation under god. And yet we still have prostitution, drugs, homosexuality. All the liberal vices.

Those women are very unfortunate. That is abuse and exploitation of fellow human beings. Moral decline of the times.

Yeah, pretty sad conditions.
Some of what is posted here is sarcastic, but some of it is just plain mindless and unconscionable.

So the women who realize they don't have to sit in a chair and push paperwork all day for $35k/year with their Business Admin degree and instead start making $120k/year to have sex a few times a week are horrible.

World's Oldest Profession.
Legalize It.

God bless those resourceful women, using protection and earning a great living. The women in SE Asia are so far removed from your assessment it’s ridiculous. SE Asia is now incubating almost untreatable gonorrhea. It’s in the news every day. They live a nightmare existence. Sorry for being a downer🦀

venerial disease.

Condoms are extremely effective. Most of the failure rate is due to people not using them properly.

Actually calling an escort a venerial disease is a form of shaming(and a false one at that) women for engaging in sex in the same way a man might.

I thought religion and state are separated in US.

Making escorting/prostitution illegal makes women involved easy to abuse. If prostitution is legalized, then "business rates and state regulations" apply.

Why can state prohibit a consensual transaction between two adults?

Well, the US doesn't make laws in SE Asia.

Escort, unmodified by any further descriptor, is assumed to refer to escorts in the USA, land of the free.

STDs are easily prevented with condoms. Swingers, not escorts, have the highest rate of STD transmission. In fact, Nursing Home STD spread is worse. If Legal, it could be better regulated and enforced. Cutting hair, tattoos, and manicures also spread disease, but both are legal and regulated.

Selling is legal, fucking is legal, so why is selling fucking illegal?

If I can rub somebody all over with oil with my body parts and legally get paid for, why can't I rub the genitals?

Prostitution being illegal is a Victorian era law, that should be fixed.

Exactly. Let them risk vd's and/or sell their body if they choose.

The conditions in SE Asia equate to sex slavery. Huge difference

Lol, had not heard about this, but it seems to be true:

Well, you could argue that they don't have much time left so they might as well have what fun they can. Maybe distribute free condoms there, though I'm sure their children would be horrified.

I've always wondered what the net effect of legalized prostitution would be.

On one hand, it gives many unskilled women the ability to earn a great living. I think with regulation and not having to hide it, conditions & safety would greatly improve for prostitutes. Money gives you choices & freedom in life, and so this could potentially set some on very favorable life trajectories.

On the other hand, I feel that making it legal, which would probably also make it more socially acceptable, would entice many more women to pursue it as a career (even if it might be intended a short-term solution). I wonder if prostitution is something they tend to universally regret later in life, and if it ends up being a trap. Most women are craved by men until their 30's, then most of them start to rapidly lose their looks - and this means their income rapidly falls off. If they planned properly and set themselves up with another career, no big deal. But, I don't know many people who plan long term.

Prostitution is legal in many countries, so that experiment has been done. Germany, for example.

As someone with libertarian philosophical leaning, I'm sympathetic to legalizing prostitution and legalizing drugs.

OTOH, legalizing prostitution usually result in price collapse in the sex trade and demographic collapse in the society: more young women would be enticed by the high profit margin to enter the trade, then get the 1000-cock-stare on top of getting various STD's that often result in infertility for women, so essentially cutting them off from the gene pool. Men may also end up having less resources available for their wives and kids if they have to give the resources to sex workers (Rin is a prime example). Enough people doing that, and the society has a population collapse (happened in late Roman Empire, and happening in Germany, for native populations in both cases).

That's probably the reason why almost all traditional (i.e. successful) religions and societal moral systems show antipathy towards prostitution.

In today's society, there might be a way out for legalizing both prostitution and legalizing hard drugs to go hand-in-hand: so the ex-prostitutes in their 30's and 40's can die happy deaths quickly, removing their burden on society and removing their votes, allowing the non-prostitute women (and the men they fuck with) to birth and raise more children. Over a few generations, we may evolve women who are resistant to the temptations of prostitution (women who can think longer term, for a change). We might also be looking at the last couple generations of women anyway: with both artificial womb and sex robots soon becoming reality, it will be very difficulty to marry off a daughter in 50 years . . . at that point, readily available fetal gene editing may well induce parents to choose boys in addition to the usual brains+brawn gene package.

I'm perfectly willing to give away my sperm to needy women requiring healthy reproduction. I just am not willing to give up my legal status, my peace of mind, most of my hard earned money, my sanity, my self respect, or my freedom from being held hostage for the rest of my life by bureaucrats and lawyers etc. etc.
Not to mention being shackled to a bitchy, demanding harridan intent on destroying me because I managed to stick it in a few times.

The plywood pillory in the basement is really just a humane way to keep them at bay and remind them of their proper servitude and function.

The issue with vice is that it may do PERMENANT damage to people’s lives while they are attracted by it or addicted to it. By making vice illegal also create other problems. You can argue on either side but the law is the law.

Figures must be law enforcement propaganda to drum up support for the stupid sex trafficking law that holds anybody accountable for anything. Law enforcement are the biggest mafia of the this country-thugs.

So does prohibition of vice. For example, someone with a marijuana conviction is screwed for the rest of life and is cut off from many jobs. In that case, use of marijuana arguably would be the MUCH lesser of evils. Furthermore, assuming that state does not own my body, why should state be able to legislate what chemicals I choose to put into my body?
