Are you taking to me?? Please illuminate.
I posted one too many a conservative Tweet on Twitter, it seems.
Today, they locked it. Claimed I was a 'bot' account.
Today, they locked it. Claimed I was a 'bot' account. Never mind that I had this account...and actively used it...since before 'bot' was even a word outside of a Star Wars script.
So what did they demand I do to unlock it? Prove I wasn't a robot via Captcha test AND submit and verify a 'valid' phone number.
Ahhhhh....now we get to the meat of it all. See, I have refused to provide Twitter with a phone number. The Why should be really, really obvious to even a certified Libtard (but perhaps I am being too generous here).
So, my immediate thought was to purchase a burner phone. I was actually in Walmart looking at them when I thought, "I bet Twitter won't accept a phone number from a burner". So right there in the store, I googled around and sure enough, found articles/posts/etc by people confirming that fact. Likewise, Twitter wised up to the use of services like Ringer as well.
So what does work? Setting up and using a Google Voice account. Yup, see they can't ban those w/o pissing off Google...so:
Here's the article on that: https://woorkup.com/how-to-bypass-the-twitter-phone-verification-for-new-account/
Sure enough, it worked on my 'suddenly Bot'd account'. Yes, I have to provide Google with a real number. I used my Magic Jack phone number for the old, legacy landline I use still. As long as Twitter doesn't have any of my phone numbers, that is ok by me. And I can add/delete numbers on Google Voice. So, if there is a sale on burner phones at WalMart, I just might buy one and try doing that with the burner number later, just to see.
So I mention all this in case:
