It's disgusting that congress people are not held to insider trading laws. Congresstheys, ex presidents and active secretary's of state can become so filthy rich that their "meager" government salaries are meaningless.

In full disclosure, I'm not a socialist, but I'm not so afraid of say 35 percent of our economy being socialist, that I have to make up stupid things the woman didn't even say. I think it's pretty common when making fun of someone, to take something that they legitimately said or did, find the theme, and then use that to continue the jokes. She absolutely has said plenty of this stuff.

BTW Ms. Ocasio saying that changed my perception of her from extremely negative to just negative. If she (ze, xe) will actually do something with respect to this, I might start thinking that she in some ways is OK.

Don't particularly like her, but I heard her being interviewed and she isn't dumb. She is not mature in the ways of the world, and for sure says some stupid things as does every politician or for that matter every human being. My God look at Louie Gohmert or Steve King, complete imbeciles but that is OK for a single member of Congress as they have very little power and probably well reflect the stupidity of their districts. As to Trump I would suggest people go back 15-25 years and listen to some of the interviews he gave, the man is not stupid or should I say was not. There clearly has been a severe deterioration in his ability to speak coherently, and it would seem to think coherently, this is a concern.

Not really. She is just inexperienced and everyone is gunning for her misstatements and even making up satire. However, this means the bar has been set so low that if she does an average to above average job she will look superior.

She is a threat to mainline Democrats because she actually wants to police and regulate large corporations, not just the ones who do not pay up. That means Apple an Amazon will be called on the carpet about overseas production and the gigging of employee jobs respectively. Unless, old Nancy is able to get to bring Alexandria into the mainline fold or cripple the young lass's enthusiasm.

This is really no different than all the political cartoons on the newspaper editorial pages and strips like Doonesbury. Like memes, these cartoons use words never said and other straw-man tactics to poke humor at political foes. I personally prefer the memes/toons based on real occurrences, such as the panel about Alexandria complaining about Uber taking Yellow Cab jobs, but having her campaign make extensive use of Uber. Not so keen on the image of the person accompanied by a stupid saying never uttered by them. OK if actually funny, though.
