It's closer to idiocracy (as depicted in the movie titled "Idiocracy").

People get obsessed with minor specific (and bizarre incidents), take them out of context, and blow them out of proportion. The gillette ad ? Who cares ? It was silly as far as I can tell. And if anything only brings attention to something that many think is silly (toxic masculity). Let the light shine on that concept. But demonizing Gillette over it ? That's acting just as stupidly and emotionally as the SJWs.

This weird incident with the Catholic kids in the MAGA hats, and the bizzarro world Hebrew Isrealites ? You want to call the latter SJWs ? I don't think so.

Have SJWs over reacted to Trump ? Sure. But then Trump is an especially bizzarre phenomenon that should never have happened. I'm dissappointed but not surprised by the reaction of the far left.

The pattern I find interesting is the right wingers that take specific incidents and want to generalize it on to all of America, or at least on the "the left." The left is soemthing like half the country, and most of those people are not sympathetic with SJWs and far left politics.

YOU WISH that on the left that is what's going on. Keep selling that BS. All the more surprised you will be to see the moderate adult that the democrats come up with to run against Trump (or Pence) in 2020.

Of course Fox and it's politicians will paint whoever that is as an open border loving commie Muslim sympathizer. And the rubes will sell it for them on social media. Same as it ever was.

Yes, that's what we've been trying to tell you for the last 2 years with the SJWs, Democrats and the Liberal media.

It's called TDS.

I'm glad you're finally recognizing it. Welcome to reality!

The "moderate" Dem to run in 2020 will be Kamala Harris.

White liberals love the ones who worship identity politics and open borders, however clever they present and promote this agenda.

IMO "1984" is not the ohmage to capitalism and freedom that people who reference it claim that it is.

A Utopian might read even the book and think that Big Brother is for the good and that it has a happy ending as Smith finally learns to love Big Brother as the bullet enters his brain.

It's also pretty boring.

The top .1 % have (somehow) made slaves of the top 10% (in economic terms) while leaving the other 89.9% free to live like lower class 19th century serfs. There is no believable explanation of how this came to be except for a few comments by O'brien when 'interviewing' Smith: "something something war".

As if an entire 10 generations of the middle class suddenly forgot how to act in their own self interest. It's weak as a sci fi novel and weak as a political novel.

A better classic anti-communism screed, again IMO, is Animal Farm. A far more enjoyable read and a better treatment of how a we go from an idea of fairness into a corrupt and evil state of government - by the same author.

It's almost like Orwell was coasting on his success with animal farm and got lazy on his follow up novel.
