Origins stories from fires tend to be obscure or 'kindlers of convenience'. How they are started and how they are fanned or spread could be different stories.

The fires in Bay Area a few years ago were genuine lightening started fires. However, I think that the big ones should nowadays be looked at as unnatural until proven otherwise.
