Putin had a good deal and he blew it; Ukriane nor Poland, nor Estonia, nor Finland were not ever going to waste their time invading Russia.
Instead of just collecting billions from the sale of oil and gas, Putin had to live in the past and pretend the world was still willing to be bullied by the evil empire again.
Looks like he "misunderestimated" the Ukraine and the West.

How old are you? I'm 51, I remember the tail end of Vietnam, and I remember Afghanistan. I know what a proxy war is. Putin is older than me, and was part of the KGB, he knows what a proxy war is. This war is going to go on for YEARS, and it's not intended to be won.

It will be fought by mercenaries soon enough, if it isn't being fought with them now. The purpose of a proxy war is to hurt the other side, financially and economically. When the US fought in Vietnam, the result of that war was that the US had to leave the gold standard, it was so fucking expensive. We went fucking bankrupt, AGAIN, because of that fucking war. Stupid fucking war. I thought we learned a lesson as a nation from that, but NOPE, we have fucking retards or traitors in power today.

Afghanistan was another proxy war, which the US actually fought COMPETENTLY. They just armed religious nuts, and it cost the USSR a shit-ton of money, and the result was the dissolution of the USSR.

Here's my prediction of this proxy war. It's going to end NATO and bankrupt the United States one last time. We're not just arming nutcases in Ukraine, we're wasting tons of fucking money. If we spent 100 billion dollars on infrastructure on this country, it would revitalize it. Imagine what we could do with that? But I'm realistic, I know how 100 billion dollars would be spent on "infrastructure" here, every fucking dime of it would be stolen.

I'm in California, something like $60,000 a year is spent on the homeless, per person. They could be housed, educated, put on drug treatment programs for that, even mental health. All the money is in fact, stolen. NONE of it goes to the homeless, maybe a few hundred a month actually gets to them.

That's how corrupt the United States is, and when this fucking criminal government falls, I'm going to celebrate because, FINALLY, we'll have a hope for a future again. I fully support this dumb, fucking, criminal, group of criminal assholes which is our government, destroying itself. Can't stop it, can't reason with them, can't even vote them out, and you people just cheer it on, so fine, I'm with all of you assholes, you can have the fucking wheel and drive us right into a tree. It's all yours buddy, people like me are sick of trying to reason with you, and it's too late anyhow.
