Fuck, we can’t even keep Americans who are born here from taking a dip in the socialist/totalitarian pool.No surprise here. Those who did take a dip in the that pool usually don't want to do it again. Americans who are born here didn't experience that crap, while livelihoods of Bernies of the world depend on convincing them that grass is greener over there.

Maybe you have a lot in common with a group of musicians in Italy that you never would have spoken to before. At the moment it’s still a bit of a pain to even chat with them. It won’t be. It’s only a matter of time. Any major language or dialect - even any written material will be understandable in seconds.
How will governments, religions, and corporations feel about this? It’s just one person chatting with another. Why should they care?
For instance, Will China allow anyone to speak with anyone in Kansas City? Right now I have a hunch that an alphabet of six thousand graphical characters may be a bit of a stumbling block that the government of China can rely on to spoil the free-chat party, but soon it won’t be.
