That's my stance generally too. If I'm there during the escalation phase before punches are thrown I've done a good job defusing situations before. At a crowded house party one time I was punched in the face trying to break it up once it had already started. Next time I'm just leaving and the morons can beat each other up all night for all I care.

That was an interesting fight now that I've thought about it again, basically a 50 person brawl. Brass knuckles came out and busted beer bottles with people getting cut and attempted stabbings (on purpose). White kids fighting over which band is better. Guns 'n Roses or Poison. Yes, this legitimately happened. It was utterly retarded.
