Political discourse nowadays is enough to depress anyone, and the media don’t help by ignoring good economic news. But buck up, Americans: Worker wages are growing much faster than previously reported.

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) on Tuesday published its annual revisions to personal income data, and the surprise was the huge jump in disposable income and employee compensation.

The revisions show that employee compensation rose 4.5% in 2017 and 5% in 2018—some $4.4 billion and $87.1 billion more than previously reported. The trend has continued into 2019, with compensation increasing $378 billion or 3.4% in the first six months alone. Wages and salaries were revised upward to 5.3% from 3.6% in May year over year. And in June wages and salaries grew at an annual rate of 5.5%, which is a rocking 4.1% after adjusting for inflation.

But of course the media don’t help by ignoring good economic news. This is very true. The media don't want to help.

I'm not ignoring it, and anyone who has made money the past 2.5 years isn't ignoring it. The only people ignoring it are the ones who stayed poor because they couldn't get over their own political bias. Lower taxes, less regulations, means lower cost of business. This is an irrefutable fact.

Wow! That kind of wage growth hasn’t happened since the 1980s! I knew the employee market was tight, but that kind of wage inflation was what Democrats thought was over for good!
This is fantastic news for everyone but the oligarchs, who unfortunately own the media and have an army of Leftist idiots with inferiority complexes to hate on anyone who cares to point it out.

I don't see how Trump can loose at this point, liberals have nothing positive just open borders, free shit, Trump bad. They have abandoned all of middle class outside of government employees.

Trump with all of his flaws is the only person addressing problems that have been getting worse for decades.

The 5.6% increase in Personal Income was the largest increase since 2014 (5.7%).
The 6.1% increase in DPI was the largest increase since 2006 (6.8%).
The 4.0% increase in Real DPI was the largest since 2015 (4.1%).
The 5.2% increase in PCE was the largest increase since 2006 (5.9%).
The 3.0% increase in Real PCE was the largest increase since 2015 (3.7%).
The Personal Saving level of $1,210.4 billion was the largest since records began.

Economy is doing great. You know it because all dems just focus on race politics and gay agenda, nothing economics.

Is that why the Fed lowered interest rates?

I think it is girding us for the upcoming Trade Wars and negotiation with China.

Not enough migrants arriving to keep pay down - Central Bank

Wow, you rarely ever see the agenda to keep pay down for native-born citizens so clearly admitted to. Maybe the Irish don't know that they are supposed to pretend it's about "refugees" and not about cutting wages for workers.

A separate Central Bank of Ireland research analysis, also published yesterday, highlighted the risks from a lack of housing.

"Ireland is likely to require significant inflows of workers from abroad over the coming years, provided the economy remains on a favourable growth trajectory," the report said.

Require?

Require in what way? To force down wages for native born citizens just to benefit owners?

Thanks for the forum link.

Reading the forum thread it's shocking how many people believe increased demand by migrants doesn't increase housing costs.

Thanks x2 for the forum link. Reading about how Dublin is being turned into an "International City" with Bland Corporate Offices on one hand and looking like a "Long Kesh Protest" on the other (I take that to mean smelly, dirty, bearded MENA/Central Asian Migrant "Blessings")

I thought that it was satire.
