But why? If there is anyone in the whole world who should get automatic citizenship, it’s the children of our military. Many of them will go on to join the military like their parents, and they are our best patriots. Combined with the fucking AWFUL optics of this situation, this move is the stupidest one Trump has ever made. No explanation either, just Boom.

Updated late Wednesday. Service members kids still get automatic citizenship. It’s just non-citizen embassy workers kids who don’t and kids who are being adopted by citizens abroad...have to go through process.

Stop crying, it says will not get "automatic" citizenship. This is a good thing. What if the military personnel had a child by a non citizen? Would that matter to you? Overseas?
