Interesting article. Yeah I know, New York Times, NoBueno for many of you.

I especially found this part interesting.

In 2012 Mr. Putin added the military to his informational arsenal. His newly appointed head of the Russian Army, Gen. Valery Gerasimov, laid out a new doctrine of war that stressed public messaging as a means of stirring foreign dissent. That same year, a shadowy group of trolls in St. Petersburg began using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to fire salvos of junk information at millions of Americans. The goals were to boost social polarization and damage the reputation of federal agencies.

Hmmm. 2012. I couldn't help but check the most trollish guy on this forum to see when he started.

Not a proof. Just interesting.

And yet POTUS after fucking POTUS let these fucking fucks to get away with it. A simple oil embargo would quickly bring that sorry excuse of a country to its fucking knees, but for some reason we keep trying to "look into Putin's eyes and see his soul", stage a "reset", "tell Vladimir I'll be more flexible after the election", "I want great relations with Russia", etc.

And it's not like they didn't give us enough reason to be put under real sanctions apart from their mind-fucking operations. The attack on Georgia in 2008 was enough. Annexation of Crimea was more than enough. Chemical attacks and deliberate bombing of hospitals in Syria. The fucking list is longer that my fucking arm. Yet, the sanctions they got weren't even fucking slap on the wrist. A fucking joke at best.

I don't know why Putin bothers. The agencies are doing a bang up job of destroying their credibility on their own.

No No NO Marcus you're confusing Putin for Obama.

Obama actually funded groups to agitate and stir shit, and his impassioned election speech was "Get in their Face!"

So are you saying that you aren't in St. Petersburg ? Becasue that is exactly what one of those Russian trolls would say. Just sayin.

I suppose you're going to tell me it's just a coincidence ?

Russia has jack shit of a presence over public messaging. But you know who does? Jews and China.

Good point. People within the FBI deliberately try to subvert a duly elected president.

How can anyone ever trust the FBI again?

A new way to transfer money from State coffers to his cronies. Set up a new agency, use $1M to pay a few trolls, and pocket $99M.

You mean he doesn't just have his central bank dole it out like we do here?

They do not want rubles - those tend to devalue too quickly. Hence, their schemes are different from ours.
