I'm not religious. Not even a little bit but when Nietzsche said, "God is dead", he wasn't trying to be an asshole to a god. He also said, "And there isn't enough water in the world to wash away all of the blood that will spill".

He was writing about religion being replaced by the enlightenment (post-modernism now) and how it's a shit substitution.

Most thinking modern men realize Religion is necessary even if they consider God itself my be a bubbe meise.


There's no need for right or wrong if we're just animals on earth like the rest of the creatures.

Think there's a Lion prison, or Great White Shark prison for their violence? Religion is there to keep peace, just like the only purpose of that Flag is instill pride and heritage in your country. It's all symbolic but it's very important. It's less for your benefit as it is for the benefit of Society as a whole. Praising Jesus, may have less to do with appeasing the invisible man in the sky, and more to do with appeasing humanity so we don't live through the dark ages, of everyone getting trampled underfoot and impaled on spikes, and smoldering ashes left in the wake of marauding forces.

People that believe in something, even if it seems silly and pointless, just have more to live and fight for.
Those championing the destruction of things other believe in, have nothing to live and fight for.

It’s a blind faith religion and much like one can’t’ prove God exists, they can’t actually prove the injustices they claim exist. So like people seeing Jesus in a frito, the purple hair people point to everyday life as examples of injustice.

Religion was invented before language, it was because of Religion that language and civilization was created.

Yes, that mentality subscribes to Bolshevik or class warfare ideals. And it is most convenient and easily exploitable when using race-based or ethnic warfare.

I don't get how you invoke Commies in the practicality of Religion discussion, when ever communist regime has outlawed religion.

The problem is that the modern world has not synthesized ancient mystical teachings with modern sciences. Instead, they need religious demagogues, etc, telling 'em what to do and thus, you see ppl joining/starting cults (see Moonies) or simply going Muslim and following some Imam's terroristic teachings.
