There will be a civil suit for wrongful death, relatives will be paid a multimillion dollar settlement.
TPTB will try to make sure this process takes as loooooong as possible so another round of riots is less likely. A year, perhaps.
Same thing happens in every Cop death case. Really hard to prove murderous intent when force is authorized to subdue. Policemen are always in a tough spot. Most aren't murderers.
Also, remember that George Bush put, what, another 80,000 cops on the street? We do have pretty low crime rates nationally. But to prevent too much "enforcement", I guess we should just avoid putting cops in high crime areas and let the gangs rule. Get a call of "shots fired" is South Chicago? Yeah, looks like I'm on break right now.
