The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a manhunt seeking the suspect behind an attack on Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba’s office.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday that an individual attempted to confront Habba on Wednesday night.

The suspect then proceeded to “destroy property in her office” and “fled the scene.”

“Thankfully, Alina is ok,” Bondi said. ...

“This is unfortunately becoming a trend as radicals continue to attack law enforcement agents around the country.”

Border Patrol agents were shot at by an gunman driving a black Jeep in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday.

The shooter and vehicle are at large.

Other anti-ICE agitators threw bricks and a paint can at federal agents.

“Today, U.S. Border Patrol was conducting immigration enforcement operations near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, when an unknown male driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and fled the scene,” the DHS said.

“An unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol’s vehicles. Chicago Police Department was called for assistance and cleared the scene,” the DHS said.

“This incident is not isolated and reflects a growing and dangerous trend of violence and obstruction. Over the past two months, we’ve seen an increase in assaults and obstruction targeting federal law enforcement during operations. These confrontations highlight the dangers our agents face daily and the escalating aggression toward law enforcement. The violence must end,” the DHS said.

A New York City psychotherapist says he has received dozens of hostile messages, including explicit death threats, after publicly describing the growing number of patients in his practice who exhibit what he calls symptoms of “Trump derangement syndrome” (TDS).

Jonathan Alpert, a Manhattan-based licensed therapist and author of the forthcoming book “Therapy Nation,” revealed that the backlash began immediately after he appeared on Fox News last week to discuss a Wall Street Journal op-ed he wrote on Nov. 12.

In the piece, he described “patients across the political spectrum” who raise President Donald Trump in therapy sessions “not to discuss policy but to process obsession, rage, and dread.”

Alpert shared several messages he says he received through text and email over the past week.

Many were profane; some included threats.

One message told him to “eat s— and die.”

Another called him a “pedophile protector.”

A third read: “You’re a lowlife… pedophile who decent people hope is slaughtered.”

“It’s been intense,” Alpert said.

“I expected disagreement, but I didn’t expect the level of hostility, especially from people in the mental health field.”

He said the reactions highlight a contradiction he’s observed:

"Many of the people who speak the most about empathy, tolerance, and inclusion reacted with the least of it."

According to the FBI, the suspects identified themselves as part of a violent offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front.

The leftist fringe group is steeped in pro-Hamas agitation, anti-police extremism, anti-capitalism, and open hostility toward the U.S. government.

The group frames its mission as freeing “Turtle Island” — an Indigenous term for North America — from what it calls the “illegal American empire.”

Their messaging openly blends pro-Hamas rhetoric with revolutionary extremism.

“Free Palestine. Free Hawaii. Free Puerto Rico,” the group posted on Instagram.

Federal officials say the arrests prevented a likely mass-casualty event on one of the busiest nights of the year, when coordinated bombings could have produced chaos across multiple neighborhoods.

In a post on X, FBI Director Kash Patel said that the four arrested are members of the group.

Conservative journalist Frank Scales was hospitalized Saturday after being sprayed with an unknown substance while reporting on anti-ICE protests in Center City Philadelphia.

Scales, known for conducting man-on-the-street interviews, had been covering demonstrations near City Hall on Friday night.

During the protests, he was repeatedly threatened by leftists as he attempted to ask questions.

One individual, who identified himself as “Big John,” warned Scales that he would assault him if he did not leave the area.

“Are you threatening me?” Scales asked on camera.

“Absolutely,” the individual responded, adding a profane rant in which he said he did not care about laws, police, or jail.

A Columbus, Ohio, man has been arrested over allegations that he was plotting a deadly attack against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Justin Novoa, 21, is accused of issuing violent threats against ICE agents and preparing for a heavily armed shooting assault.

An arrest has been made in connection with the assault of Philadelphia-based journalist Frank Scales, who was pepper-sprayed and punched while riding a city bus earlier this month.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of January 19 amid anti-ICE protests in the Pennsylvania city.

Scales and members of his team were traveling on a SEPTA Route 7 bus in the 2300 block of Carpenter Street.

Video from the bus’s surveillance system, along with footage recorded by a member of Scales’ team, shows the suspect confronting and attacking the journalist after ordering him to get off the bus. ...

She repeatedly called him a “fascist” and a “racist,” attempted to grab his phone, struck him, and deployed pepper spray at least twice.

“How am I a fascist?” Scales asked before being sprayed the first time.

He then moved to another seat as Reyes continued shouting.

Moments later, she approached him again, deployed pepper spray a second time, and repeatedly struck him.

The bus driver removed Reyes from the vehicle, and SEPTA police arrived shortly afterward.
