Data Doesn’t Lie: Political Violence Is An Overwhelmingly Left-Wing Problem

The rot in the so-called data pushed by leftist scholars studying political violence gets worse the deeper you dig.

Even before Charlie Kirk had been pronounced dead, the narrative apparatus of the Left was in full gear trying to blame the assassination on the Right. Once it became clear that the shooter was a standard-issue leftist, the narrative shifted to “this is a both-sides problem.” But before Kirk had been laid the rest, the experts and researchers had been mobilized to assert that the original claims, if not accurate, were consistent with a pattern in which political violence in America is largely a right-wing problem. Having spent my career in academia sopping up such unctuous claims, let me assure you that this is complete nonsense. Political violence in America is mostly a problem of the Left.

Begin with some bright, shining facts. There were two assassination attempts against President Trump in the recent election and none against his opponents. The California gunman arrested outside Brett Kavanaugh’s home in 2022 planned to assassinate three conservative Supreme Court justices, not any liberal ones. Attempts on the lives of members of Congress this century have resulted in one Republican (Steve Scalise) and one Democrat (Gabby Giffords) suffering serious injuries. ...

The man arrested Sunday outside of a Catholic church where U.S. Supreme Court justices were scheduled to attend Mass had more than 200 explosive devices in his possession at the time of his arrest.

Louis Geri, 41, of Vineland, New Jersey, was arrested after he threatened to ignite explosives outside of St. Matthew’s Cathedral, where hours after his arrest, the justices were scheduled to attend an annual Red Mass held as the court returns for a new term, according to The Washington Post.

Due to the incident, the justices did not attend, according to the Catholic Standard.

Court records show that Geri was told by police that he had to move a tent erected on the steps of the cathedral, but he resisted, telling the officers, “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives,” the Washington Post reported. ...

The document showed Geri’s dislike for the Catholic church, Jews, members of SCOTUS, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stumbled badly when pressed on CNN about a Democrat candidate’s shocking text message suggesting a Republican leader should be shot in the head.

Virginia attorney general nominee Jay Jones, a Democrat, has been engulfed in scandal after texts surfaced revealing his violent fantasies.

In the texts, Jones said the GOP Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates should get “two bullets to the head” for honoring a late moderate Democrat.

The disturbing comment has rocked the race and left top Democrats struggling to respond.

Pelosi, speaking with CNN’s Dana Bash, sidestepped the question of whether Jones should drop out of the race.

She appeared to defend Jones by arguing that he had apologized.

However, she then claimed that such threats are “just not appropriate” when directed at herself and other Democrats after defending Jones’s use of threatening language.

“Well, that’s up to the people, the leaders in Virginia,” Pelosi said.

“They have said he has apologized.”

In interviews with law enforcement, Balmer reportedly described his actions as “an act of resistance” against “imperialist genocide” and condemned Shapiro for “legitimising apartheid policies” through his support of anti-BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) laws in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania man pleads guilty in arson attack at governor's mansion

A federal raid in New York City’s Chinatown targeting criminal networks selling counterfeit goods erupted into chaos as protesters turned violent and clashed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The rioting led city leaders to rush to distance themselves from the operation.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said the raid was part of a “targeted, intelligence-driven enforcement operation” focused on organized crime tied to counterfeit merchandise sales along Canal Street.

In a statement, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said:

“During this law enforcement operation, rioters who were shouting obscenities became violent and obstructed law enforcement duties, including blocking vehicles and assaulting law enforcement. ...

Witnesses said the raid quickly descended into disorder as rioters formed human chains, blocked vehicles, and attempted to stop ICE agents from detaining suspects.

Law Enforcement Opens Fire on U-Haul Truck After Driver Backs into Line of Police Officers Outside US Coast Guard Base in Alameda, CA

Law enforcement opened fire on a U-Haul truck after the driver decided it was a good idea to back his truck into the police line outside of the US Coast Guard base in Alameda, California.

The incident took place after hours of protesting outside the Coast Guard Base where ICE workers are staying.

Eyewitnesses said the driver had been hanging out in the area all day before suddenly backing up his U-Haul and accelerating toward police, prompting gunfire. Protesters reportedly screamed for him to stop moments before shots rang out.

The abandoned U-Haul was later found full of bullet holes but no blood.

Democrat leaders have been promoting the violence against ICE officials who are doing their job, arresting and deporting illegal aliens from the country.

German activist Naomi Seibt, known across Europe as the “Anti-Greta” for her outspoken criticism of globalism and defense of free speech, has filed for political asylum in the United States.

Seibt is claiming persecution in her home country for her political beliefs after she received death threats from the far-left terrorist group Antifa.

The 25-year-old free speech advocate submitted her petition under Section 208 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

She is asserting that returning to Germany would expose her to imprisonment or physical harm due to her political activism.

“I have now applied for asylum, which means that I’m waiting for an interview,” Seibt said in a statement.

“And, in the meantime, I’m here legally.

“My goal in the meantime is to become an American citizen in the future because this country has given me so much hope.”

Seibt said her decision came after years of harassment and state surveillance in Germany for expressing views at odds with the political mainstream.

“In 2024, I found out that I had been spied on by German intelligence for years,” she said.

“Simultaneously, I keep receiving death threats from Antifa.

“I went to the German police, and they told me that they can’t do anything about it as long as I have not actually been raped or killed.

“I am not getting protection from the German government even though I am at major risk of potentially being killed.”

Antifa has claimed responsibility on the well-known left-wing extremist platform Indymedia for the arson attack on the car of AfD Bundestag member Bernd Baumann in Hamburg.

During the night leading into Monday, the politician’s car was set on fire in front of his residence. According to initial findings, the vehicle was deliberately ignited. The flames then spread to three other cars parked nearby.

“Fiery greetings to the accused, imprisoned, and underground Antifas!” the statement reads, whose authenticity has not yet been confirmed by police. The group said that on the night of November 3, 2025, they destroyed Baumann’s BMW with an incendiary device. The left-wing radicals cite as the reason for the action the upcoming trials “against Antifas in Dresden and Düsseldorf.” “Thirteen comrades are accused of several attacks on Nazis and their structures in Germany and Hungary,” the statement says.

The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a manhunt seeking the suspect behind an attack on Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba’s office.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday that an individual attempted to confront Habba on Wednesday night.

The suspect then proceeded to “destroy property in her office” and “fled the scene.”

“Thankfully, Alina is ok,” Bondi said. ...

“This is unfortunately becoming a trend as radicals continue to attack law enforcement agents around the country.”

Border Patrol agents were shot at by an gunman driving a black Jeep in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday.

The shooter and vehicle are at large.

Other anti-ICE agitators threw bricks and a paint can at federal agents.

“Today, U.S. Border Patrol was conducting immigration enforcement operations near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, when an unknown male driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and fled the scene,” the DHS said.

“An unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol’s vehicles. Chicago Police Department was called for assistance and cleared the scene,” the DHS said.

“This incident is not isolated and reflects a growing and dangerous trend of violence and obstruction. Over the past two months, we’ve seen an increase in assaults and obstruction targeting federal law enforcement during operations. These confrontations highlight the dangers our agents face daily and the escalating aggression toward law enforcement. The violence must end,” the DHS said.

A New York City psychotherapist says he has received dozens of hostile messages, including explicit death threats, after publicly describing the growing number of patients in his practice who exhibit what he calls symptoms of “Trump derangement syndrome” (TDS).

Jonathan Alpert, a Manhattan-based licensed therapist and author of the forthcoming book “Therapy Nation,” revealed that the backlash began immediately after he appeared on Fox News last week to discuss a Wall Street Journal op-ed he wrote on Nov. 12.

In the piece, he described “patients across the political spectrum” who raise President Donald Trump in therapy sessions “not to discuss policy but to process obsession, rage, and dread.”

Alpert shared several messages he says he received through text and email over the past week.

Many were profane; some included threats.

One message told him to “eat s— and die.”

Another called him a “pedophile protector.”

A third read: “You’re a lowlife… pedophile who decent people hope is slaughtered.”

“It’s been intense,” Alpert said.

“I expected disagreement, but I didn’t expect the level of hostility, especially from people in the mental health field.”

He said the reactions highlight a contradiction he’s observed:

"Many of the people who speak the most about empathy, tolerance, and inclusion reacted with the least of it."
