We need to make these woke companies hurt so bad, that the top executives start firing everyone that even utters a woke sentiment.
We need to take America back from the Fucking commies.

Boycott Goodyear!

Did you see their bullshit smartass reply? They encourage all workers not to wear political things - unless it's "racial justice and equity".
In other words, their PR wiseass wanna-be clever people basically said Blue Lives Matter remains bad but not Black Lying Marxists

Police and Sheriff's Departments need to Pirelli, Michellin, and Goodrich right away.

I only buy Michelin anyways.
3   Dholliday126   2020 Aug 19, 9:51am

This is all corporations these days unfortunately. That's why you just have to do your best to buy local and support people you know.
6   komputodo   2020 Aug 19, 12:23pm

i buy michelin with a treadwear rating of at least 650.......they last for years.
7   socal2   2020 Aug 19, 1:18pm

Right now Corporations are only afraid of the woke mob. Crazy to think woke millennials living in their parent's basement are big purchasers of cars and tires.

Until Corporations are afraid of Conservative boycotts, this shit will keep going on.

Yeah. Not sure this is a worthy fight for Trump. Why jump into the cesspool with the left? He's had better strategic points in the past that make sense. People are smart enough to make their own decisions.

This doesn't move the needle for me though overall, will still vote for him, but he's got a lot of these petty things that he should just let go. The left has chewed its own legs off already. Let them work on the torso on their own. They're doing the heavy lifting for Trump on their own, and I'm a bit surprised the reaction on this. The left is looting, rioting, burning, shooting, stealing, nominated Biden and Harris as VP. I'm not sure there's much else that Trump needs to do. The left's dumpster fire seems to have a secret gas line attached and they don't know how to shut it off.

The new Goodyear "blimps" are not blimps at all. They are "rigid airships" that should be called dirigibles except that they are made by the famous Zeppelin company — the company made most famous by its Hindenburg. So, in all, the photo-fakes above are seemingly quite appropriate.

"replacing its aging fleet of GZ-20 blimps (non-rigid airships) with Zeppelin NT airships. Construction began in 2012 on the first of three new semi-rigid airships; completed in March 2014, Wingfoot One was christened on August 23, 2014"

Exactly. I'm trying to explain this elsewhere 'But Goodyear is American.' Yeah, no shit. But they're being ingrates, enjoying our legal, political, and economic system unparalleled in the world. They want to placate the BLM anti-family, anti-American movement but forbid pro-police attire. Apparently they didn't get the message when autoparts stores were set alight by "shared communities"

Why corporations are pandering to the most broke, most woke, most barren segment in America is beyond me. Loyalty from Boomers/GenX is far more valuable; they're taking us for granted.

I agree with Trump on this.

He saw that there was potential for launching a conservative counter attack on cancel culture w/ Goya.

He saw a new opportunity w/ Goodyear and decided to give it a try. I think we should all support him. Goya was ideal because the participation of patriots was immediately apparent via out of stock shelves, which fueled more patriot momentum each day. A goodyear boycott will take at least a quarter to show its effects, and without that immediate feedback, its harder to build momentum.

If Corporations see unity from conservatives, and realize the people with the real money are boycotting them, they will quickly change their ways. Call me an optimist, but I think they might try to say the whole cancel culture thing is stupid and try to be politically neutral again. I'm sure there will be a few companies that hold out and dig their little monotone-grey heels into the ground, because the company sells soy for example, but most companies wont.

Let me rephrase my point. Goodyear is dumb for enacting a policy like this. That said, I don't think POTUS should be opining about it and telling people to not buy Goodyear. I said POTUS and not Trump, because I think this is an overreach on his part even though I agree with him. Whether traded publicly or privately, it's still a private, non-government business. As long as the policy is legal, ain't Trump's business. He can have an opinion, but that's a slippery slope if we want POTUS to make opinions on shit like this. Can come back to bite you.

It's no different than BLM causing more racism. He's opening the door for another POTUS to attack right wing groups. The left is lighting their clothing on fire while wearing them. Just let them do it and don't interfere. Biden doesn't stand a chance and I think this gives Biden more of a chance and a talking point he can easily pull even with dementia. Likely won't change the outcome, but I think it's a flop on Trump's part. He could have had some proxy attack Goodyear and not do it personally.

Opening the door? When haven't the Democrats not abused their political power to go after Conservatives? Did you miss Obama sicking the IRS on the Tea Party and other conservative groups? Did you miss Obama abusing the FBI and DOJ to spy on Trump's campaign? Have you missed all of these State and City prosecutors going after the gun toting couple protecting their homes while they release prisoners and rioters?

In principle, I agree that we don't want politicians fucking around like this. But it will never stop unless these Corporations are as worried about Conservatives as they are scared of the gay/tranny mafia.

Democrats are fighting the culture war to win. Conservatives (with the exception of Trump) haven't even laced up their boots for the fight.
14   Eric_Holder   2020 Aug 20, 10:24am

Now that I think of it, I've never bought a single GY tire in my life. So it would be hard for me to boycott them, lol.
15   Shaman   2020 Aug 20, 10:26am

I don’t think Trump should have weighed in on this. He’s the President of everyone, and calling for a boycott of an American company with American employees sends the wrong signal entirely. If conservative activists want to do that, it’s a cause that could have some value. But it’s not appropriate the POTUS to be involved in something like this.
It just gives the rabid left more ammunition.

Agreed, but let others pick up the pitch forks and torches (or guns). You know this is going to be turned into a commercial and aired over and over. I want Trump to win. I just don't think this particular move was needed and could have had one of his sons or something do a media round.
17   zzyzzx   2020 Aug 20, 10:39am

This is the type of thing that needs to be brought up for a vote at the next shareholder's meeting.

There's that and if his voter walk in synch every move, even when he's likely wrong, it really does make Trump supporters look like a cult. It's okay to criticize the guy on logical points. He could have just said he doesn't agree with the Goodyear policy and moved on. He's calling for a boycott and basically said he wants their tires of POTUS moving vehicles changed. The left is petty as shit, but no need to get in the mud with them.

It's also causing a post like this. Creating a wedge within some of his own supporters. I'm fine with the job he's done overall. Biden scares me more than Hillary did in '16. Disagree with Goodyear and make your own decision to buy their tires. We just didn't need to hear it from Trump is all.

I see what you're saying and fully understand that is very likely could come back and bite him, but I think it was a great move because the media has totally blacked out anything that the conservatives do.

So, by having somebody stand against some of the crazy leftist nonsense and be pro police, pro-military, pro maga is good. Otherwise it's a leftist shitshow all the time.

I think we got this far because Conservatives and Moderates kept hoping it would go away if they took the high ground, whereas the Left has been constantly doing these kinds of things and were successful at intimidating companies.

Because there was no blowback, Corporate Management decided to always appease the Left and take for granted there would be no reaction.

Unless there is a reaction for kowtowing to Leftist demands, there's no incentive for corps not to cave in at the first sign of pressure from the Left. In fact, companies like Goodyear made submissive moves to the Left BEFORE they were targeted; I don't recall a Leftist pressure Campaign to get Goodyear specifically to endorse Big Lying Marxists.

When a company allows anti-police group sloganeering, but not pro-police or the slogans of an elected President, it's gone too far.
21   WookieMan   2020 Aug 20, 10:59am

I'm not against what he actually did. It makes sense at 30k feet in the air. But once you get lower and realize that the battle on the ground is resulting in a shit load of friendly fire loses for your enemy, maybe just let it go. Let them implode. The Goodyear stuff had already leaked. Just say it's not right and disappointing. Calling for a boycott of an American company isn't the smartest move, even if you think it will move other corps your way. No guarantee of that.

I watched some of the DNC convention last night. If you think the electoral college is going to swing Biden's way, you're overly nervous. They bring out a spray tanned Obama, on a slow prompter where he used to excel bigly, and his speech hit with a massive thud from an independent's perspective. Also from someone that was swayed by his '07-'08 speeches that got me to vote Obama the first round. Kamala's speech was eerily creepy with whatever the set or background was. Was waiting for a clown to step out and stab her. Then the daytime shit with the mentally ill I think you posted in the other thread. Thinking Americans are all like "WTF is this shit?"

From a strategy point it also makes him look like he's riding in the back seat in this race with the Goodyear move. Forget the polls. Even internal. As someone from a blue state, I don't think people understand the support he has. Remember, anyone unemployed isn't going to think they got that $600/wk from Nancy. All the momentum was going Trump's way. It wasn't wrong thought, the Goodyear boycott was just the wrong move at this point is all I'm saying.

Sadly, we don't have many prominent Republicans willing to pick up the fight.

Certainly no celebrities.

Media won't give much attention to tweets from the few Conservatives willing to take the bonkers Left heads on like Cruz, Hawley or Cotton.

So we are left with Trump and his Twitter.

I wish it weren't this way. But if we are going to fight, we have to fight with the army we have.

Word. There are no public intellectuals, not enough celebrities, etc. that aren't far left. It's gotta be done from the bully pulpit.

Have the IRS audit the company and executives and managers. That would be tit for tat Obama’s style, and hit the wokey dokey executives where they fucking LIVE.

That was fucking quick, too.

OH SHIT!!! They knowingly lied.

Leaked Audio Reveals Goodyear Lied, It Endorsed BLM And Banned Blue Lives Matter

"In the audio, an unidentified executive states that “if any associate wears all, blue, white lives matter shirts or face coverings that will not be appropriate.” The unidentified executive conducting the training said “the rules now around what you can wear, let’s try and comply with these so that ay you know everybody feels good in this factory.”

He added “I want to make sure guys, think about what we do.”

“Some people may wish to express their views on social justice or inequity or equality issues such as black lives matter or LGBTQ pride on their face coverings, shirts or wristbands. That will be deemed approved because it applies with a zero-tolerance stance,” he says."
