This is a pandemic?
You're right, it's not a pandemic. Never was.
Let's use NPR's numbers:
https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/03/16/816707182/map-tracking-the-spread-of-the-coronavirus-in-the-u-s?utm_medium=RSS&utm_campaign=news
I live in California: we have about 40 million people. We have 700K "cases": this is a 1.75% case rate.
We have had about 13K deaths, or about 0.0325% deaths.
Total.
Since the beginning.
This is a pandemic?
Nationwide numbers: 1.8% case rate. Death rate: .055%
Again, this is a pandemic? The Spanish flu was a pandemic. This is a blip on the global scale.
That is still low as shit.
A Supercomputer analyzes Covid19, figures out how it kills people, and suggests ten different already FDA approved medications to help patients recover!
how is that compared to the death of a 3 year old (with 82 more years of life expectancy) from the common flu?
We're shutting down people that likely on average have 50-60 years of life ahead of them, with almost zero risk of death. That's not cool.
Having said that I will mask for food. I have to. They won't let me in the stores or pick up food at restaurants unless my mouth is covered. Only those who follow government edicts are allowed to eat in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Right, imagine how things will be when a REAL pandemic comes along.
Covid's a killer. It took at least a couple thousand before their time. Through government overreaction It also killed the plans and put off the dreams of millions of people.
Stop the masquerade, end the senseless rules, stay home if you are sick, And Wear your fucking mask and hide in your fucking house if you are afraid of getting a cold.
This new normal is not working for me.
This chart is a pile of shit.
In 'merika, majority rules.
Too bad for the "normal is not working for me" crowd.
it's not all about 'me'...
