They've spent decades telling black people in America that they can't succeed on their own without help that can only be given by Democrats and that any failure is not their fault but the fault of some other group. This wears people down over time and eventually they start to believe it.

Then look at how they treat a strong, independent, successful black person who doesn't need or want hand-outs or special advantages, and won't toe the line by claiming that they were kept down by racism and oppression. This risks destroying that lie they've been repeating for so long. Immediately the facade of tolerance and virtue drops, and out come the verbal attacks with racist name calling like "uncle Tom", "race traitor", and saying they're "off the plantation".

GoP politicians may not care about, or go out of their way to help blacks specifically, but I don't routinely see them actively engaged in harming them. On the other hand, I've long viewed the Democrats as a party of racists. They put on this phony act where they lie about caring and helping, but their policies show their true intent, having directly resulted in great harm to the black community. Fostering dependence, preventing development, and encouraging divorce, infidelity, and abortion. In Democrat run cities where young black men are murdering each other at a horrific rate, there seems to be no real concern from those D's in charge. I do not believe these are accidental or unintended consequences, either. These are deliberate. These are crimes against humanity.

That’s true of any country... typically only the best, brightest, and most motivated immigrate.

I can tell you that in my AP Physics classes, which typically involve the top 25% of the graduating class, I've had about 600 students the past 12 years. If I made a top 50 list, Asians/Indans own 45 of the top spots. And, I would say they might only have 10 or 15 in the entire bottom 50%.

One time, we had the kids filling out some stupid form. The instructions specifically said, Arab students should check off white. The 1 Arabic kid in class made a joke that he's finally made it.

There’s extreme selection bias with asian immigrants from certain countries like Japan and China. Basically they send the best and brightest over here so of course they dominate academically.
Other Asian sub groups like Vietnamese exhibit a much wider degree of intellectual variance. I live near many Vietnamese and indeed Little Saigon is only a few miles away. Some of their kids are indeed brilliant. Others are average and less. They work as doctors and lawyers but also auto mechanics and electricians and every other trade. Most do work and work hard. They’re good citizens, for the most part although you don’t want to drive behind one. Slow and careful doesn’t begin to describe it.

Anyway, selection bias means that we aren’t getting average or even above average Chinamen or Indians. We are getting their top shelf which is why they all seem so smart to us over here.

I dated a Chinese Google employee who somehow just assumed all Indians were as smart as the ones she works with. When the Amazing Race had an episode in India, she was shocked. I had biochem, embryology, genetics in college. I remember studies of identical twins reared apart showing that intelligence is about 50% genetic.

I recall reading that IQ has a tendency to revert towards the mean. Basically, a mom and dad who have high IQs (meaning, higher than their racial/genetic average), are more likely to produce children who also have high IQ. But, while they're expected to produce smarter than average children, they likely won't be as smart as mom or dad, because IQ will tend towards the mean, which is in the other direction.

Likewise, 2 very low IQ parents are likely to produce children with higher IQs than them.

So, if asian immigrants have high IQ due to selection effects, over time their descendants might be expected to dumb down from this mechanic.

I don't doubt that a culture of hard work can influence measured IQ to some degree, but obviously a large part of IQ is also inherited. See the bar chart above.

The top schools were originally founded with the intent keeping the top families in power. That aspect hasn't changed. What has changed is that in the 1950s the top schools also started letting in very smart kids that worked hard at academics. More recently another change took place, as schools added a 3rd category: kids with certain ethnic backgrounds that aren't well represented among the power-families or the smart and hard-studying. This new category of kids aren't necessarily more impoverished than the very smart kids; in fact, the new set of kids are often the most well-off of their category, as they are the ones in position to best manipulate the system. As competition for top schools has intensified, the categories have become more obvious, which, ironically, confirms stereotypes and furthers all the "isms" we're supposed to be avoiding.

A lot of Asians especially Chinese are Democrats. I think some of this is because the Democrats are not as anti Chicom. The left wing authoritarian ideology or neo Marxist leanings also may be attractive ideology to them.

Also Chinese may think they'll have more power if they are members of the Democrat Party. I suspect a large percentage of Chinese in California are Democrats.

Identical twins are the closest in intelligence to each other. Nothing about raw scores - two twins dumb as rocks or geniuses, have similar scores. I don't think this is just about money. Google has a lot more money than Soros does.
