According to the Media, the Dems have stolen the Senate as well.

So, as ask you all to comment here what your take on the probability of the Filibuster being axed or greatly castrated.

I say they will go for it.

(Then they will pack the court too)

Yes, the PRI will:

End the filibuster
Stack the courts
Sic the FBI on Trump supporters
Outlaw any Voter ID requirements and keep mail-out ballots, to steal any needed election.

Mexico was unable to get rid of their PRI for about 80 years.

It won't be that easy, there are a lot of tensions on the left as well. I expect not a lot of action for a while.

Oh really? Notice that Nancy was reelected Speaker without any effort, and despite losing House seats. Schumer will now be Senate Majority Leader. Biden is President. Same old (and I mean old) Democrats are still in power. The "Squad" and other pipsqueaks with get in line or get primaried out.

...but wait ... there's more. They will grant amnesty to the 15 million illegals in the country to solidify their reign.

Biden has already promised that, plus opening up the borders to flood many more.

Why bother when they can easily get away with stuffing the ballot box?

That's my point. There will be enough struggle between the radical left and the old dem guard who doesn't want their status quo endangered. We will see who will win this battle, leaning towards the old guard..

Every thought in AOC's head is going to go straight to law like legislative diarrhea.

I just hope you all enjoyed the blissful, joyous, resort like freedoms of 2020. That's the last taste you are going to get, maybe for the rest of your lives.

And I am saying this will not be much of a fight. The radical left will capitulate immediately.

Agreed but then you don't have to be worried about extreme leftoidism as it tends to devour their own. Rigged elections, not so free speech, globalist agendas, sure, but what else is new?

Saying we need not worry about extreme leftoidism is like saying it is OK to cut off one's foot compared to slitting one's throat. The plain old leftism of Pelosi/Schumer/Biden will open the floodgates to illegals, export jobs to China, and keep the graft lines open. I would actually prefer an AOC to the old guard Dems - even though I disagree with AOC's politics, at least she is not bought off.

The fact that a plurality of actual Americans would vote for people like Pelosi, Harris, Romney, Omar, Occasio-Cortez, is evidence that the problem is not the political leaders, but the Voters who lack discernment.

Fill the country with third worlders alien to the American way of life without assimilation and this is what you get after a generation or two.

Also, anyone think West Virginia Senator Manchin (D) will vote against stacking the court as he promised?

My bet is that we will see more opposition to leftoid policies in local governments as cities spiral out of control, often the dynamics on the federal stage are reversed to that one in the local communities, cities and states. We shall see.

I give it about a 5% chance he goes independent or changes to Republican.

Some dumbass leftwing activist Judge actually just gave Trump a cover to pay for everything, by demanding he pay for SNAP.

If Trump can pay for SNAP as essential, then he can pay military wages also, which is a constitutionally explicit necessity.

Yes, and that judge will likely have to clarify where Trump can legally pull funds from to pay for SNAP.

Correct.

ZERO chance of codifying DOGE cuts and Trump Policies without a Constitutional staright majority Senate vote. Nor much chance for anything like Budgetary normalcy.

The Dems have already said the moment they have the votes the Filibuster is gone, and BOTH Manchin and Sinema, the defectors stopping them last time, are out of office now.
26   AmenCorner_AntiPanican   2025 Nov 6, 6:45pm

People still think we live in an era where Dems and Reps are a step away from each other and the Fillibuster encourages collegiate, compromise behavior between two groups that basically agreed, but with some priority differences.

When Democrats could win a primary against other Democrats by being tougher on crime, or more fiscally responsible, or against welfare cheats who needed to work. Hell, they could try that on Republican opponents sometimes.

We're long past that era.

Indeed - now it's ammo and yams.
