My first reaction when I hear any mainstream media news is instant suspicion.

Matt Taibbi has written a lot on the subject of the degeneration of media into little specialized echo chambers making NO attempt to supply objective truth to their audiences. I try to check myself all the time for cognitive bias from the narrative that I am supplied. It is very difficult.

This place certainly plays into my cognative bias... the majority of you lean right far Moreno than I. But just like when this was mostly a housing bubble site, the narrative were being given doesn't jive with reality as I know it.
