Listened to a podcast earlier today, and my mind went back to the Hainan Incident.

Remember back in 2000, before 9/11, the Chinese crashed into our P-3 on patrol in international airspace? And the Orion Crew felt they had to land in Hainan Island due to damage?

I think the very aggressive Chicom Pilot smashed his jet's cockpit into the undercarriage of the P-3 while buzzing it and probably died instantly.

Well, the Chinese took the WHOLE FUCKING ORION apart piece by piece and poured over it for months, plural. And wouldn't allow US Officials to meet with the crew for 3 days and only released them days after that.

The Orion was stuffed with all kinds of Electronics shit, cutting edge stuff from the Sonobuoys to sensitive radio/radar receivers to who knows what else. The Chicoms didn't give a shit that they ripped the whole thing apart and what was probably mild or moderate damage to the P-3 - but able to land on it's own power - was returned in shreds.

Did Wimp Bush threaten sanctions or impose any? No matter how brief of mild? Nope, he basically signed a "mea culpa" document where the Chinese expressed regret but we apologized for their aggressive pilot's death.

I can just hear that Pussbag in my head: "It's an act of love for China to give us back the Plane they bashed into and ripped apart for our secrets."

Also note that it was in the early 2000s when any concerns about Chinese fuckery all but disappeared from big mainstream media outlets.

When was outsourcing to China really taking off? I bet it was about the same time.

Exactly correct, Patrick.

Another thought - When did SJW shit take off in the Media? About the end of the 2000s that shit exploded. Right after Obama's election.

Plan has been USA-cide for a while, stepping into high gear with Obama-IHLlary to finish off the country. Baton has been handed off to Biden.

Trump was a fluke, but may be the skin of the teeth guy who saves the country. We'll see. Terrifying times.

Still disappointed that the crew of that P-3 did not radio there position to facilitate a rescue and ditch. After all, ditching is a practiced maneuver and the plane is equipped with emergency rafts that contain food, water, and rescue enhancing equipment like flares and sea dies. No way they should have landed a plane loaded with Top Secret materials at an Chinese airfield.

Heard it had to do with... you guessed it... women in the military. Pilot decided he didn't want to risk injury to his female crew, one of whom was pregnant and others were mothers.

Women do not belong in combat roles.

There, said it.

When I was in the Air Force, pregnant women were not allowed to fly.

This was a USN Patrolcraft.

Yes, I know. Saw plenty of them when I was at the Azores. I find it hard to believe the Navy would have different rules than the AF for pregnant women flying. Maybe things have changed since the 1990s.
