The excuses are complete bullshit; people who are under/un-employed and otherwise stuck/working at home would be watching MORE sports on TV, not less.

Used to be very big NBA fan as did a friend. Since we were kids. Neither of us watch anymore. At all.

Same with NFL.

Same. We used to watch Super Bowl I’m the past and laker games. Stopped all that while ago, don’t miss it.
