Three more new R mayors in TX, one elected in border city McAllen, which is 85+% Hispanic.

https://www.businessinsider.com/texans-elect-the-first-gop-mayor-of-latino-majority-mcallen-in-24-years-2021-6

Texans elected three new Republican mayors in heavily Latino cities over the weekend, building on the GOP's significant 2020 gains among Hispanic voters.

Most notably, the border city of McAllen, Texas, which is about 85% Latino, elected its first GOP mayor in 24 years. Javier Villalobos, a city commissioner and former chairman of the Hidalgo County GOP, won about 200 more votes than Democrat Veronica Vela Whitacre in Saturday's runoff election. Republican mayoral candidates also won their races in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas.

Last year, Trump and the GOP saw a major surge in Latino support in Texas' Rio Grande Valley, long a Democratic stronghold. While Hillary Clinton won the region by 39 points in 2016, President Joe Biden won it by just 15 points. Latino turnout grew by about 30% in 2020.

Trump flipped five Latino-majority Texas counties last year, almost doubling his vote count in McAllen, doubling his support in the 94% Latino Zapata County, and sharply boosting his numbers in Hidalgo County, where McAllen, one of the region's biggest cities, is located. ...

There are a slew of likely reasons why Latino voters, particularly women, are swinging towards the GOP. Recent polling and focus groups have found that GOP messaging on immigration and public safety issues was particularly effective among certain Latino communities.

Democratic pollster David Shor has found that Latino voters moved away from Biden and towards Trump when they were reminded of Democrats' positions on immigration policy. Shor and others have also found that Latinos who voted for Clinton in 2016 and Trump in 2020 were much more likely to have conservative views on crime, public safety, and policing. Some experts believe that the GOP's argument that Democratic policies hurt public safety -- and the left's calls to "defund the police" -- helped push many Latino voters to the GOP column last year.

A few conclusions. First, "some" Patnetters should stop crying over "brown wave coming from shithole countries". So-called brown wave, population replacement and so on is much more reasonable than fucking white libtards transplanted from fucking California who are ruining our Great State. Just compare librul-ruled Austin with McAllen. Second, white libruls are RACIST! since they don't agree with Hispanics.

See also NYT take on this. Amusing since it goes against their ideology.

Sorry, clip from youtube but shows the Hispanic attitude change.

This does seem to confirm what you've been saying about Hispanic voters in TX.

Texas to Build Its Own Border Barriers, Says Governor

https://www.breitbart.com/border/2021/06/10/exclusive-texas-to-build-its-own-border-barriers-says-governor/

“The reason why we are here (Del Rio) is because of the massive increase,” the governor stated. Border crossings used to be highly “concentrated in the Rio Grande Valley,” he explained. “Now, you know we’re upstream from the Rio Grande Valley in the Del Rio Sector and the Del Rio sector is suffering from some of the largest increases.”

He said they are hearing from local residents and elected and law enforcement officials that they are seeing things they have never seen before.

“They’re seeing a lot of very bad dangerous people come across the border,” Abbott continued. “People that they are afraid of encountering, people who are causing damage to their fences, their livestock, their crops, their neighborhoods, and their homes.”

“Bad things are happening around here, and so they need help from the state to help them address this exploding crisis.”

Since our governor is a political whore, he will do whatever to get votes and for Hispanic border countries it means building them a big and beautiful wall.

D's anti-oil, anti-gun, and pro-abortion ideology has helped a lot as well.

border counties are poor and in last Trump years they were lifted out of poverty by fracking, which is real bad according to D's. Hence rural support for Trump tripling between 2016 and 2020. If you drive through these counties in 2020 you see a lot of new shiny trucks, house upgrades, and other symbols of prosperity. Locals are also into guns, and are very Catholic, which does not jive with abortion and 9000 genders.

Putting these people back into poverty is a D agenda.

Another interesting article:

https://www.click2houston.com/news/politics/2021/07/17/gop-eyes-latinos-in-south-texas-in-effort-to-regain-congress/

MCALLEN, Texas – In Republicans' bid to retake control of Congress, this traditionally Democratic stretch of South Texas has quietly become a top battleground.

After making unexpected gains last November, the GOP is zeroing in on a trio of House seats in the region as key targets heading into next year's midterm elections. They include the 15th Congressional District, which hasn't sent a Republican to Washington since its creation in 1903, but where a GOP newcomer came within three points of winning in 2020.

Republican leaders believe the party is on the precipice of a political realignment among Hispanic voters in communities along the U.S.-Mexico border like McAllen. Inroads among Latinos could potentially offset the party's growing vulnerabilities among voters, particularly in the suburbs. The elections next year will determine whether these shifts are enduring or a more limited response to the turbulent politics of the Trump era, as Democrats hope.

Republicans' top target in the area is the 15th District. It currently stretches from the border's Hidalgo County, which is more than 90% Hispanic, to the eastern suburbs of San Antonio. Voters here have never sent a Republican to Washington, which is why national party leaders were so stunned when Monica De La Cruz-Hernandez, a small business owner, came within 10,000 votes of beating Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, a two-term Democrat.

Sitting behind her office desk in Alamo earlier this month wearing cowboy boots and a campaign T-shirt, De La Cruz-Hernandez, who is running again, credited her performance to former President Donald Trump. She said his “colorful personality” had sparked new interest in national politics that changed many Texans’ minds about politics.

“When they paid attention to what was happening on the national stage, I think that the lights started to turn on for people where they saw, you know what? My conservative values no longer align with the Democrat Party,” she said. “The bottom line is that the Hispanic values are pro-God, pro-life and pro-country. And we are conservatives down here.”

Border security, she said, is “number one issue from the north side of the district to the south side of the district,” as border crossings have soared.

...Republicans point to other data points to support their optimism. Javier Villalobos in June was elected mayor of McAllen, becoming the first Republican to hold the post in decades. Texas' redistricting process, which is controlled by state Republicans, could produce districts that are even more favorable to GOP candidates as the lines are redrawn to reflect the state's gain of two congressional seats.

Villalobos, who joined Trump at his border briefing and was hailed as a “superstar" by other officials at the event, said he saw his election as part of a trend driven both by Trump as well as economic changes as more Hispanics have entered the middle class.

“Historically, it’s been Hispanic people are very conservative, but they vote traditionally Democrat. And little by little, even the older people are changing,” he said. "And that’s a beautiful thing. Competition is good.”

It's “as if they have you already brainwashed: Go vote Democrat. That’s all it was here,” said Palomares, who now tends to vote Republican.

“People are waking up,” said Manuel Pescador Jr., 54, an occupational safety consultant and local activist who lives in McAllen.

Pescador Jr. said he switched parties seven years ago, rejecting what he saw as a culture of “handouts and false promises," and now rails against immigrants who enter the U.S. illegally.

“They come here, they refuse to assimilate and they’re here to use everything they can, in any way they can. And so that’s why I call them ‘depleters,’” he said. “That’s why that Hispanics that can vote, vote Republican, because we know who’s coming in.”

It will be extremely interesting to see how S. TX votes in 2022. I suspect Hispanics will be labeled RACISTS! and will join Fucking White Males in the camp of undesirables.

And here is Ms. Hernandez, future Congresswoman from Texas, herself:

A womyn of color! can't be criticized, so I am waiting for brain freeze of libruls when she will get elected.

Maybe they will just declare that she is infected with "whiteness" as they have been redefining "white" lately to be anything that they don't like, even in black and Asian people.

They might also define her to be a man, because they have been ignoring the biological reality of exactly two sexes anyway.

There, problem solved!

"White-adjacent" is the new term they have devised. But that type of mental gymnastics will further alienate Hispanic voters, with predictable results at ballot box since Hispanics are rapidly becoming a majority.

I was hearing for last 20 years how TX will turn blue because Hispanics, but reality is that it did not turn blue in 2019 elections because Hispanics changed their voting pattern.

According to the poll, only 2 percent of Hispanics refer to themselves as Latinx; 68 percent prefer Hispanic and 21 percent identify as Latino/Latina.

These numbers aren’t surprising to Hispanics or anyone who spends considerable time around them, but to the white progressives who dominate the Democratic Party and whose obsession with race and gender is pathological at this point, the polling is certainly mystifying. Progressives, who signal status and show allegiance to their in-groups by immediately incorporating the latest woke words into their lexicon, fail to understand that this bureaucratic impulse does not comport with the sensibilities of working-class Hispanics.

I like Hispanic people, mostly. They remind me of the Irish from 150 years ago. Conservative, big families, working their way up honestly.

My only problem is with illegal immigration.

I like them a lot and hope that we get a lot of conservative Hispanics elected. They seem to have little inhibition in saying what they think, which will be highly enjoyable.

A few examples:

our Governator enjoys Hispanic boobies pressed against him:

Sorry. But it isn't confined to just those areas. Illegals flood all over the damn country. The main damage done is they increase census numbers. And since Congressional districts are allocated by total population and not citizen population, you end up with shit like the SF Bay Area that has so few citizens they get bugged once a year for jury duty but like 10 or so Congressional districts -- all woketard Dems.

If those districts were allocated by citizens count per district, we'd only have 3 - 4 geographically much larger districts there instead. Still be dominated by libtards, but way fewer of them when this happens in NY, LA, Chicago, etc.

And it is much easier to control immigration than it would be to fix the fucked up way we allocate Congressional districts. SCOTUS won't even allow citizenship questions to be on the census, ffs.

Rules are set by white woketards with the help of some minority minions and spineless R's, which is the root of evil. Illegal immigration is second-order issue.

I get along with Mexicans just fine, while I get highly annoyed by idiot yet intellectual woketards.
