"Oral infections such as periodontitis and abscesses are the most common infections in the world and frequently are a stealth contributor to chronic diseases such as breast cancer and heart disease"

"Warm water and a given amount of hydrogen peroxide in a water irrigation device consistently and amazingly can resolve even advanced periodontal disease in just a few weeks. ~ Dr. Thomas Levy"

I'll experiment with this and let you know.

I've heard about the link between oral health and overall health numerous times in the past couple of decades and found it to be very credible.

A good electric toothbrush can make a big difference in the amount of plaque buildup and requires very little effort. The cost seems high at first, but they last a long time and they work.

I've also read that xylitol (an artificial sweetener) can be used along with some baking soda as a very effective toothpaste. Apparently, the bacteria will mistake the xylitol for sugar and consume it, but they get no nutritional value from it, and thus die.

This does seem to fit with daily flossing being correlated with longevity.

With suppuration anywhere in the body, all of those bacteria and poisons are constantly being pulsed into the blood stream and landing wherever, much as they are describing spike proteins, and cause problems with seeded infections and cross immunities.

As animal bites go, the human bite is pretty toxic because of the bacteria and agents in the mouth.

I'll go easy with electric tootbrush. Problem is, electric toothbrush rotation damages gums. Plaque should be remove with laser, Look for LANAP technology. There are clinical cases, that show bone regrow has been accomplished for those with advance periodontal disease.

Also baking soda is much less abrasive

That's interesting .

Just one caveat Dr. Levy advises irrigating instead of flossing.

That is the thesis of the book.

Note: It is the publisher instructed by the author who distributes the book for free. Enjoy.

I found out about this years ago from the iTulip forum (for those of you who remember, this is iTuliper Rajiv's company). This stuff is absolutely fantastic. It might seem pricey, but you end up using so much less of it than regular toothpaste that it largely evens out.

That being said, eliminating nearly all refined carbs and sugars from my diet probably was at least as significant. In the several years since I changed my diet and switched to using this gel, my teeth and gums are the best they've been that I can ever remember. If I brush only 5X a week, I have no gum bleeding, my teeth feel like I've just had a cleaning, and the dentists can't believe I don't floss.

Agree. Sugar should be used to propel rackets not as food.
